A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Nor the 77 750According to the Ohlins website the SU143 & the SU145 have eye-to-eye mounting. No clevis for the lower mount. These will not fit the '78 GS1000.
nothing personal but your model bike isn't causeing ohlin shocks to fly off the selfs. if you need eye to eye shocks try some zrx shocks they are eye to eye and shoud be had for cheap. Might want to check on the length. the model shocks that were listed were only eye to clevis not eye to eye. So what made you think these would have worked. the only differance between both the shocks listed was the adjustabily.
looks like clevis to me.... http://www.ohlins.com/Portals/0/productlist/documents/mountinginstructions/MC/SU143.pdf don't go by the little pictures they show, plus there was no listing of a g model anywhere to.
the 145 show eye to eye but all models listed use clevis
http://www.ohlins.com/Portals/0/productlist/documents/mountinginstructions/MC/SU145.pdf . rule of thumb if your model isn't shown and you don't want to take a chance don't buy.
Yea, Unfortunatly I went against my better judgement and ordered, knowing the details you have already mentioned. I had been in contact with Autumn via e-mail, and told her exactly what model I had and what type mounts it required. She assured me they would send the correct shocks. Anyway, it's under the bridge now. Thanks for the tip on the zrx shocks I'll have to look into thier compatibility.

JD, I'm glad you spoke up and proved your ignorance. I will also say that you had absolutely no grounds for being rude to Autumn, and it is for this reason that I am no longer going to supply these shocks. I got these shocks to you guys as promised and for a smokin deal, I was repaid by having my friend insulted and treated poorly by somebody that ASSUMED that Ohlins would custom make a shock for them. An SU143 comes as listed with a clevis bottom mount and your bike WAS NOT LISTED. I don't care what you put in the email, I saw it as it was forwarded to me - you said you wanted a set of SU143's and that's what you got. And then after admitting to your mistake, you still have the absolute BALLS to ask for return shipping??? As a matter of fact, I suggested to her that she charge you a 20% restocking fee for being a ******** and had planned to sell them to the next guy for a discount. She took pitty on your lack of reading skills and decided not to do so and now you flame her here for showing mercy? As far as I'm concerned you got off easy. And do I care about flaming you in a public forum? No, why should I? You didn't seem to care right? After all, she's not going to read this now is she?
To everyone that ordered, thank you very much for purchasing these shocks from us. Please remember that your shocks come with a warranty as well as support - meaning if you need to change your springs in the future, call them up and they will do it - free of charge even, but you will need to ship them out to do it. You do not need to go through Autumn to do this, but you can if you like. Your shocks were sold to you as they are to everyone else (just at a real nice discount that isn't offered through dealers), so you get the same perks as those that paid full price. Enjoy the ride, and I'm glad I was able to help at least some of you and at the same time, I am sorry I was not able to help everyone. All good things must come to an end, and honestly, I just don't feel like doing it anymore.
