A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Yes I do :D
I know two guys in fact. But the one I think has found a pair I hooked him up with if they can work out a deal. You still have a set to part with?

I still ahve the stock carbs on my project. I plan on using them until I get the other bugs worked out. What would you guys suggest for a replacement, flatslides or smoothies?

Boy...Swanny, You have come in in the middle of something now...

I should have an answer for you in a week or two...I have run the smoothbore 33 mikuni's and they are real fast and now I am working with mikuni to sort out a jetting issue with the flatslides. when that is done and they are running properly I can give you a reasonable assessment of the two carbs....

Fair enough.

It's going to be the smoothies Steve. Just make him an offer now becasuse when he finds out those smoothies work better than the flatsides you'll have your answer but he wont have a pair for sale anymore

I am just poking around here, I really don't know which is better

flatslides vs smoothbores

flatslides vs smoothbores

The flatslides are a newer design and in my opinion are a little more forgiving when it comes to jetting. Both are very good when set up correctly and you probably would see little difference between the two. The flatslides are a little more responsive but are prone to vacume sticking so they have very stiff return springs which is especially noticable with quick turn throttles. The springs can be adjusted for less tension. I currently have flatslides and am happy with them and have never experienced a vacume sticking issue. Steve

bad news........

went down today........

broken bike, broken collarbone...

Ow man, that really sucks. Thankfully you can still tell about it.
Will you be OK?

Take care, Marco.

You have got to be kidding me!!!!!!!!

Please tell us your OK and the bike is fixable with no frame or engine damage?

Boy I don't know what else to say, this bums.... :(

Rob, Not good news, don't get too down on yourself. Hope you feel better soon. With your skills and experience I know the ICBM Katana can be resurected or replaced.

T

Hate to hear that Rob, but the good thing is your're still around to ride another day!!

Take your time and get well, broken bones hurt.

PS, if you need the cases now let me know.

Jake
