A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I have sent you a PM. If anyone hears from him please let him know. Project at hand. Thank you.

Good ol' Chuck ant goin' anywhere. He's in it for the long haul! 👍

BUSY!!! Since mid February ive been steady. And vou can bet your 401K the only way im going away is via the Grim Reaper.

My son has a bike that thru very sad circumstances, is in need of an engine reassembly. He wanted someone COMPETENT, not just anybody. It's a bit more than we wanted to tackle ourselves so I talked him into Chuck Hahn. He comes highly recommended. That is based on what I have seen and read of him in here. I convinced my son that it is worth the trip from Iowa to Oklahoma and back to deliver the project, and then do it again to retrieve it later. How's that for promoting him?

I had suggested he grab a cheap flight to OKC and ride it home once i get it to my satisfaction.

EDIT.....but i forgot hes gonna be laid up a bit after surgery.

Met up with Warren and his son Chris last night. Went for burgers and a good bit of conversation. Awesome folks. Its gonna be a pleasure reassembling the bike for Chris. Heal well from the surgery Chris. If your hand "just isnt the same" after healing you can always leave the old girl with me!!!!. Ill be in contact periodically with progress reports.

Got the XS1100 fired off today and synced the carbs. Then switched gears to brakes. All the pistons front and back are heavily pitted so they will be rebuilt. I sent a video to Warrens son. Maybe they can post it here.

EDIT...just listened to video on my phone for first time. What a crappy sound it has. Bike sounds nothing like that!!!!. Sounds awesome.

I will roll the bike outside tomorrow and do a video without being inside the storage unit, I think that will be much better

Not to be pushy or anything, but Chuck should post a few pics of his progress so people can see exactly why we wanted him to do this project. It is looking super cool.

ill take some pics with the camera. Ones i sent Chris were with my phone as ive went along.

So, Chuck went the extra mile (or 10) and got this job done. We are super happy with the work he did, and how well it runs. The engine is so smooth & quiet that all you really hear, other than the exhaust note, is the slight whirring of the cam chain. Wonderful. The only downside to this whole thing are the 5 scams for 400 bucks a week later on my bank card a week later in OK City.
