If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Enjoying this build Pete. Looks like a lot of fun and what an interesting bike. I can't wait to see how well (or not) it runs.

Cheers Sci... I can't wait either!

Just fiddling with what I can for the moment without spending $$$ and while waiting to start the shed.

Once the shed's done, the sandblasting and painting can start.

Once Christmas is done and dusted I hopefully can spend at least a few $$$ and start getting some engine parts together.

Still going to be a slooooooow project...

Just spotted this!
Super cool, fully frozen project!
I am a big Dookati fan.

Cool... I'm still stuck on the shed thing at the moment but I'm very keen to get stuck back in and get this little Duc rolling!

Unfortunately no progress to report... still trying to get the shed done... formwork is down and ready, just finishing the levelling so I can get the concrete laid. Unfortunately it's clay so when it's dry it's hard to work and when it's wet it's even worse... hopefully not too much longer and I can get stuck in!

I hate digging a foundation in clay. The best solution I've found is a eager 20 year old.

Hahaha yeah none of them here... I'm old enough to make two of them but that only makes me half as eager

Finally finished leveling out the ground for the shed yesterday... formwork is definitely done too, and next pay includes budget for concrete.

All I need to do now is lay a bit of sand down to fill in some little spots, some plastic, steel reinforcing, and concrete time at last! Can't wait... should be about 3 weeks or so

About time Pete! :) so since its about summer time for you then you'll be done with it in a few days and back to the bike right?:p

Hahaha... errr... yeah that's right :-\\\

Will have to lay some bricks on the end closest to the camera then I can finalise the plans and get building. You can't see it in that photo but there's a drop of about 150mm from that end to the farthest end, so I'm using the bricks to keep the moisture away from the actual walls as much as possible.

This is a pretty cool rebuild, imagine what it was like when that engine was built. Ducati would have been a small workshop with a few guys putting the bikes together.

Are those spark plugs still available?

Cheers mate, and yeah it wouldn't be anything like today!

Pretty sure I can get a suitable spark plug, but I also need crankshaft bearings and an ignition coil... I think the ignition coil will be the most difficult bit.

The good news is I have some funds now so as soon as time and the weather cooperate I can get the concrete down for the shed and I'll also be able to get the bearings and start the hunt for the ignition coil real soon.

Awesome. I was wondering if you had that shed built yet. Hopefully you can get it done soon, with this bloody humidity I recon we are in for a decent storm.

Mate it's killing me! By the time I get to work in the morning I feel like I've been swimming... still can't bring myself to ditch the jacket though!

The hole for the concrete is getting close to celebrating it's first birthday so I've gotta get it done soon...

I know how you feel. I ended up driving today because it is beyond ridiculous.

I need to find a jacket with aircon. Wonder if they make them...
