    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Just wanted to send out a reminder that if you want your rally listed on the homepage of The GSResources, please let me know. If you are looking to get more exposure for your event, be sure to email or DM the details to Frank (administrator). I will 'stick' your forum thread as well.

There is no longer a restriction to only annual rides. As long as your ride is a sure bet then I'll list it...

Please note that you may list all GS related events in the forum calendar.

    One final suggestion...
When creating a thread for a new ride, please continue to update the first article in the thread with the latest ride information. This saves people from having to wade through pages of posts for the updated information.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Ok, it's a little way in the future, but here we go! (So you people that plan can do your planning thingy.)

The dates are September 11th - 14th in Farmington, Missouri.

We normally sleep at the Baymont Inn & Suites and rooms are normally in the $60 - $65 range per night. I would recommend booking directly through the hotel, as there have been issues getting refunds if you go through a third-party booking agency. The Baymont Inn & Suites phone number is 573-756-8031

Most people arrive on Thursday afternoon or evening and depart on Sunday morning.

As usual, NOTHING is planned! Just show up and ride some of the best roads in the area. (of course, a trip to Hercules BBQ in Piedmont is almost mandatory!)

So, there ya have it! Get to planning, requesting, begging, bribing, blackmailing or whatever ya need to do to go ride the Ozarks! You won't regret it!

Nice! Thanks for picking a date early and skipping 12 pages of negotiation.

It's on my calendar, although I'm not sure I can make it. Hoping to firm up plans as soon as possible.

I'm in. Room is booked.

edit: when there in May, the Spokes bar and grill was closed. Don't know if it will be open in September or not. In case this is of any importance to any potential attendees.

I intend to be there. Leaning on "yes". There may be a hiccup. Thanks for keeping it simple!

Well, I guess we can go to Colton's. If we must.

I need to get this bookeded.

Room is booked, not sure what I'll be on, but I'll be there...

Just booked the room. $208 for 4 nights, as I plan on arriving on Wednesday afternoon! (Gotta get the new bike acclimated to the Ozark twisties!)

Magic 8-Ball says: "Signs point to yes"

In and booked. See ya there!

I'm missing all the good riding this year. Unfortunately, this aligns (as usual) with my company's international users group meeting. I have to be there. This year it'll be in Phoenix...so at least it'll be hot. I'll miss those lovely roads and hanging out with everyone. Have fun.

Ok.........just a couple of weeks to go!

I case anyone is interested, there are a few participants planning on arriving on Wednesday afternoon or evening. That way we get to ride more! :p

You just can't get enough of those Missouri twisties!

I will arrive at Hercules BBQ at noon tomorrow [Thurs.]

I'll be there for lunch! Got a nice little 131 mile route planned to get there. I got in a bonus 90 miles this afternoon. Arrived at 4:00 after 6-1/2 hours in the truck!

Ok, it's over for this year........7 riders from 7 states attended.

Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Indiana and New Jersey..............yeah, you read that right, New Jersey!

And the New Jersey rider actually RODE to Missouri and back! (Well, he is probably not back just yet! But he did leave at 2am this morning.)

Not a lot of picture taking going on, as riding was the top priority for most.

I got in a total of 625 Ozark miles! Weather was HOT (93-97 degree highs) and we only got rained on for about 15 minutes the whole time.

Can't wait for the spring Ozark ride!

I arrived home around 1 p.m. All's well that ends well. 945 miles for me.

OK, one pic. Just for you photo junkies!:p

Fantastic riding with an amazing crowd!

The unlooked-for, un-predicted, and pretty much entirely astonishing pop-up thunderstorm on Saturday was also not exactly un-welcome. It felt mighty refreshing on a very hot, humid day. We could have done without the coating of wet leaves on C, though. That is one road where you want to be somewhat certain of your traction.

And best of all we learned that Nacho is REAL!
