A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I got a pair of these from a guy on another forum for 30 dollars. he didn't like the fit, apperantly. they seemed to have never been worn.

they are size 40, which runs a little small since they fit me well right out of the box and i usually wear a 36 to 38.

they are a mesh pant, with CE rated armour at the knees, shins, hips, tailbone, and seat. and MAN do they flow air. with the exception of the knees, it felt like i was not even wearing them.

they have relfective strips front and back, and i was lucky enough that the reflective portion is white, just like my joe rocket jacket!

fortunatly, i haven't gone down with them on, so i don't know how well they protect, but they feel really solid. They have ajustable straps at the waste, with a zipper AND velco. it's a GKK zipper, with huge teeth, feels very sturdy. the kneepad armour zips in, and they unzip to the knee, which also has a velcro strip. obviously, they aren't going to be waterproof! :D

these seem to be the next generation of those pants at new enough

just my two cents!

Actually been looking at these for cooler weather here in the south. The price seems reasonable and they look normal. Last weekend on a ride a guy showed up in these, he looked absolutly ridiculous, like a ballerina in boots...nice grab on yours.

Uhhhm I think you're SUPPOSED to wear those UNDER some other pants..jeans, slacks, mesh or whatever...What the HELL??? Who would go out their door looking like that? I bet he thought he looked awesome, like BATMAN or something...

Werre his parting words, "Ta-ta, I'm off to the bathhouse...."?

At least they aren't assless....

LOL!..get this, he was riding a Honda ST1300 (sadlle bags and all) with a bright yellow leather jacket....he blended right in I tell ya..what a dufus!

After seeing the picture of those pants...
My Gay-o-meter was pegged!

Yeah, those bat-pants are supposed to go UNDER your other gear. Hi-larious. The bright yellow jacket is a good idea, though.

Back to the OP, I've also found that Fieldsheer stuff does run quite small. So you have to read the sizing guides. If you wear an XXL in Joe Rocket or Firstgear, you'll need an XXXL in FS.

I'm very unhappy with the way my FS touring jacket is falling apart, but I'll call that a fluke. At least it was on clearance.

I'm actually surprised that he wasn't riding a Gladius...
