Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Friday afternoon safety meeting.

I was on a Bandit for my accident.....I think the Bandit 1200 is one of the best all round bikes ever made!

I have to agree with that. I still have the 03 B12s I bought in 04 with a thousand miles on it. It only has two glaring faults. 1, it's 100 lbs too heavy and, 2. it's top heavy as Hell.

I agree Trevor. I had a 2002 model for 8 years and it was bulletproof and a blast to ride...

Had a special Thursday afternoon safety meeting last week because we rv'd it on the weekend.

Good turn out even with the schedule change.
(but not up and down the street and in culdesac like sometimes).

I was going to ask about the red-burgandy bike that can partly see in back of garage, but figured was something I did know about but just not recalling.......

Quadra Island on the weekend

Oh, yah, the ST1100.
Um, wait ST1100, I think, can see part of engine sticking out each side.
Maybe ST1100 is what you have stored on other side of country.

Quess Ill just need to ask: What is the red-burgandy bike that partly see in back of garage....?

From my house(Ohio) to Las Angeles it is 2,403 miles
From my house to Victoria B.C. it is 2,602 miles... So its not crazy far.
Plus I have a cousin in Seattle.
Can you hear my gears turning?
Maybe late July/August.

A buddy showed up on his 72 Kawa 750...the REAL Widow Maker!

Oreo on guard

Re last week's meeting:

That H2 Mach IV (Kaw 750) is a MAN'S bike. It could use a few 'safety' meetings!

I like those three teen boys hovering in the distance. Remember when we were them?

Yeah I didn't notice them when I took the pic but saw it when I posted here....pretty cool :)

I remember looking at a new 750 Kaw that colour at the dealers when I was young. I just couldn't afford to buy it then, probably a good thing.

My buddy paid close to $20,000 for this one a couple of months age. He just retired as a chief engineer at BC Ferries and I guess he decided to give himself a retirement gift. :)

Yes. You could've been walking 'the streets of glory' right now if you had.

It's near impossible to impress on today's youngsters what an over powered beastie that Mach IV was in 1972. And Kawasaki was just getting started...

Brother in law in Nelson bought one new back then. Rode it a bit, sold it and has never been on a motorcycle since. That did it for him. I think he bought a 340 Dart after that.

I can't remember the price back then, Under $2k CDN I think. I was leaving smoke trails with my little GT250 at the time, I can't remember if I paid $650 or $850 for it brandy new, I think it was $850.

A 1972 Mach 4 was either $1200 or $1299 Canucklehead bucks . I can't remember exactly ..... My friend bought a water buffalo the same year and it was $1595 ......
