If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

At Blues On The Mall bike parking (an entire downtown parking lot closed off to cars, bikes only, no charge ... with a beer vendor ... schesch ... ).
Lots of guys standing around, just watching the bikes come in.
Some guys just standing by their bikes. Lots of guys going to the bars.
I went to see Walter Trout band (more could be said about that.)
When I came back most bikes gone, saw this 850G.

Saw the round cam cover caps in parking lot of antique mall south of Grand Haven, hit the brakes and pulled in. Yep, a GS.

Think I saw it in town, two-up, again a couple days later (kinda easy to spot with that big tail box, eh).

Noticed a GS riding past yesterday in my local area, Enfield, NH. I would've waved if I wasn't driving my car at the time...I also drive by, every morning, a bike nearly identical to mine except for the colour. It's a GS650 GL, dark blue with lighter blue trim and a luggage rack.

Can't believe we haven't passed each other a couple times by now!

Last few weeks I have been on only a couple evening rides during the week and a couple afternoon rides on weekend, (see "who went for ride") have cruised thru town in Ferry school area you mentioned. Have keept eye open for bikes in garage and such (not stalking, just showing interest, har har har).

And always have eye out for bikes.
If I were to see a silver 650E around here, I would chase you down.

That 450: I was going to go in the antique mall and find the rider, but had to keep on my way.

Will contact you (and greg gs78greg750 in Muskegon) if I have an enough prior planning for a ride. Was thinking about Blues On THe Mall (Samantha Fish) Wednesday evening, but now looks like not likely.

Last night on a moments notice I did go for ride in town and cruised around your part of town again, and went to Bikes&Blues&Bones at Highway Inn (half rack of ribs for $9).
I was the 1 percenter there.
Well, more like 6%, 1 out of 15 bikes that was UJM. (and maybe only person not drinking).
Hey, next week, wanna try for 2 out of 16? or 3 outta 17?

I never see any GSs on my daily commute or otherwise. Today went later to office due to a visit to a customer. A bike went by at a light and stopped in the next lane just ahead. It was a GS1000 S. Wes Cooley replica Blue and white. I tried to catch up in traffic but he got away. I did see where he turned and i couldn't follow So the hunt is on. I believe it was chain driven 1979 maybe.

Starting to think I need a GoPro...

Jessica and I saw a collector plated red/white 1150EF (would that be an '86?) at the corner of 16th/Granville today...anybody here own it?

400? 450? Holland MI

400? 450? Holland MI

In left turn lane.
I was two lanes over in right turn lane to head north, and back a couple cars. (hense the view from this angle)
Took picture quick before cars filled in the lane between.

My shop/office is on Brooks Ave, close to that intersection. You could have come from about any part of that side of town.

This past Saturday I saw a 80+ GS750E (had CV carbs and wasn't an L) at the Bretton Woods Skii Resort in Bretton Woods (northern) NH. Hung around a bit to see if the fellow would come by and see me eying his bike but no luck. Here in the north country Gs's are rare birds indeed (minus my 850, her 750, and Jeepfreak81's 850). The one at Bretton woods is the first confirmed sighting I have had. I though I spotted a couple others but couldn't get close enough or was going the other direction.

I basically saw my bike yesterday when turning onto a county back road by my house, it was waiting at a stop sign alongside a sport bike. The striping on the tank was the same zact color, tho it may have had a slightly different pattern and been a different year. I didn't get to see much of it but was cool none the less.

Did you ask him what he was doin riding your bike?

. . . .

Those are some nice chaps!!!!:D

Ah...
Trev, not certain how to interpret that comment to photo I posted.

I suspect maybe a derogatory comment on chaps in general.
Or maybe you can evaluate the quality of the leather in a photo from a distance.
Don't know.

FYI Three days that week, and 3 days the next week, I went though same intersection, at least twice a day, on bike, wearing leather chaps. Although brown.
Chaps from about 1985. Brown, to match brown leather jacket of then.
Chaps maybe not as good weather protection, not as good pavement surfing protection as current armored textile pants I now also have, the chaps roll up better for storage on bike while going around town during the work day.

Dave.

Saw what I think was an 83 1100e on Rt 676 outside of Philadehia riding 2 up. They just pulled onto the highway, and boogied. I couldnt catch up in the work van.

IMG-20141220-00272.jpgWe were at the barber shop in town this morning and i saw this ad in a Rider Magazine featuring as GS....

Interesting that the book in the add had a GS on front cover.

Interesting that your barber has Rider magazines.

Was the magazine and the book real old....?

.

Our barber shop is old school cool, owned and ran by the founders son. The old chrome, porcelain and leather cushioned chairs are still in use (and quite comfortable). The Rider Magazine the ad was in was from this past October. I was quite surprised to see the GS. Grey Bruce is a tour in Canada....I looked them up trying to find the ad online after seeing it during my last haircut. I couldnt find it so i snapped a pic with my phone last weekend.
