I've done a lot of searching and the color name/code for the '79 black metallic is not coming up definitively. It has a very faint sparkle. Is it the 'pearl black blueing' 05T?
I am ordering some paint from RS bike paint in the UK for my CB750K, and can add on some Suzuki paint to the order. I asked if I had selected the right color from their picker for a '79, but it was the frame black, and there was no other black listed. Being a UK site maybe they didn't get the '79 in that color over there. I asked and the response was "They used a colour called PearlBlack in 1980 which has a blue and silver pearl in it.".
Might that be the same? In the end it's not super critical but might as well do things right if I can.
