I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Ive been on ebay and been googling places looking for new airbox boots for a buddies 80 1000G and cant find them

Anyone know what other models and years will interchange with the 1000G?

I was thinking maybe the 850G would be the dame boots?? Just unsure about it but the 850G airbox looks the same.

Have you looked at cruzinimages.net? I bought some from them previously.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I remember having to order boots for the 750 model but they did fit my 1000E.
But it shows the 850 airbox looking a lot like the airbox of the 1000. The part # are different by 1 digit. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Cruzin is one of my stored go to places and didnt see any SPECIFICALLY for a G model. I saw the one digt difference in the 850G ones too. I even yried the cross referrencing trick on alphasports with the1000 part numbers and got nothing.

The 1100G should be the right size I would think.... I think I have a just about serviceable set that you could use for a test fit &/or whilst you're waiting if you want to pay for the shipping... Let me know & I'll hunt through some boxes.

1982. I think all years would be the same, it would at least tell you if you could get away with it or cut them or something... I may have a set of 1000G ones somewhere... again in just about serviceable condition if I do.... I can send you whatever I find if you like. PM me your address again.

Be sure to keep us updated especially if the ones from the 1100G fit ok. One would think the boots from airbox to carbs would all be the same unless the carbs are different sizes BS34?

The 80 1000G has 2 marked L and 2 marked R. Why i dont know. Anyway whatever works is good to know.

850G and 1000G boots definitely do not interchange. BS32 vs BS34. If they're shriveled up and hard, the 1000G boots can be made to work on the 850G in a pinch. I did the BC rally that way one year. (Both 1980 bikes.) I don't know what happened, but both bikes had relatively new boots, and that spring they were all dried out and shrunk. It hasn't happened since. Just that one spring. Freaky.

The 1000G boots are marked L and R because the two ends of each boot are not concentric. They're offset for some reason, about 1.5mm, from memory.
