A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Bumping this back up for encouragement! You've come too far to give up now!

Get to work!

Get to work!
That's the problem. I lost my income so projects are things of the past until that changes. I'd love to get to work.

The bike runs, it just lacks top end power, so it is a matter of road tuning. Can't do that since the tag on it is now expired (no money). On the plus side, this thread should have enough info for someone else to duplicate the project.

Well hopefully you will get back to it eventually. You are SO CLOSE, just a little fine tuning...

Working on same setup in a car tire Dragbike but have delays with the crank triger.

Working on same setup in a car tire Dragbike but have delays with the crank triger.

Huge milestone this afternoon- it started & ran! Best news aside from that were no fluid leaks! My GS no longer thinks it is a Harley. :p
:) :dancing:

Now the tuning can begin.

I am doing the same thing to my car tire Dragbike but have had the road block with the crank triger.
I might have to try the setup you are using.
This has been a great help in my project.

Yeah, that was a difficult part. ArttuH's parts really worked good for me.

While I can't ride it now due to the tag, I do run it every few weeks. Even after sitting a couple of weeks it still starts easily.

This has been a great help in my project.
Thanks. That was one of my goals.

I am new to this and have tryed to contact ArttuH aboout his triger setup. Any idea how I can get a hold of him ?
My 36-1 trigger wheel is getting a intermittent RPM signal but it is trying to start.
Thanks

I see he was last active here 11-4-16, so if you sent him a message via the site he should eventually get it.

It's been a while since I worked on a trigger wheel, so here are some thoughts:
I initially wired mine backwards. Changing the polarity fixed the problem.
As I recall from the MS manual you may need a resistor.
What is the gap between the sensor and the wheel?
How thick is the wheel? I think one problem w/ my machined wheel was that it was too thin and hard to detect.

If you can attach a picture or two of your trigger setup this may help to diagnose it.

Finally, have you tried a trigger log such as in this post? That may help to pinpoint where your signal problem lies.

Hi. I got your message and answered it few days ago. But apparently you didn't got the reply? You can also send me email if private messages here won't work: arttuh<?t>iki.fi

Ok I am sorry I am trying to figure this out .I am not to familiar with this. But need the help desperately.
How can I get this setup from you ?

Now that I have a little handle on this.
I will get ya some pictures tonight.
Thanks for your patience with me on this.

so much for having a handle on this.
can you tell me how I canput up a picture if my crank trigger.
My air gap is .020 and the wheel is 3/16 thick .
I have tryed to do a log but getting any luck as of yet Thanks

Photobucket works as well as any other site for pics. Upload your picture there & then copy the IMG code & paste it here. www.photobucket.com make your album public

Pity that this project has been seemingly shelved.. Well, time to pick up the clues and continue forth.

Would anyone still have the wiring diagrams available? Thanks kindly.

I'll have a look but I don't think I saved them anywhere... sometimes I pull stuff from here to a file for prosperity :)

If I can find a manifold from some donor bike with port spacing to suit a GS1100G I'd like to have a go with a Speeduino controller. The flanged hole in the fuel tank where the gauge sender mounts would make it easy to get the pump in the tank. www.speeduino.com

And this guy was on Facebook, to suit 1100 and 1200 oil cooled
