Here is my 85 gs1150e project. It has the suspension front and rear off of a 94 gsxr 750. Many many modifications have been done. What do you guys think?

I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Returning Visitors
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Cool bike. Much modification needed to the swingarm to make it fit the frame?

Not too much. I had to modify and use the stock bearing races from the gs in the gsxr swingarm to get the right swingarm bolt diameter. The swingarm fits right inside the stock location and only needs a few thin washers to shim it for a tight fit. I also used the monoshock and linkage from the gsxr. I had to fabricate and weld in a new upper shock mount, I then modified the centerstand mounting tabs and used them for the shock linkage pivot mounts. It does sound like alot, but when you are just looking at the bare frame it's not really that tough. I have shaved 200 pounds off of this bike, it has the same wheel base as gsxr 750 mid 90's. I can't wait to ride this thing!

Thanks for that info! I'm planning on mounting a gsxr swinger to my Katana as a twin shock install.

Never see a 2nd Gen tail on a GS1150, but that looks pretty cool. Not sure what color you are looking at doing but I would consider something after removing the black molding from the tank. I normally like them but it is getting crowded in the seat area.
What have you done to the engine?

I will be modifying the front seat so that it will fit properly with the tank moldings retained, I just haven't gotten to it yet. The engine is stock with only 10,000 original miles.
I am just jetting the carbs and setting it up to run velocity stacks. I am also running 530 chain and sprockets. +3 teeth in the rear and -1 tooth in the front. I figured that with the pipe,velocity stacks, proper jetting, gearing, short wheel base and weight savings this bike should be more than a handful without having to modify an otherwise reliable engine. I am building this bike on a tight budget so I have focused on getting the most performance per dollar possible. Every part has been purchased used and refinished by me. it takes alot of time but saves money and in the end when it all comes together it is worth the effort.
