A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Not sure I understand. You selling? Parts, the whole bike ('project')? Or just keeping us informed about your build?

Either way, pics help.

Sorry for the confusion I've been trying to add pics but it just kept giving me a site error. I'll try again today. But yes the thread is about my current project. Just putting it there I have no use for most of what I'm taking off

Anyone have any help with uploading images? I wanted to start a build thread but without pictures it's kind of pointless. I just keep getting "upload failed"

Link in my signature for using Imgur as a pic hosting site.

Man I downloaded the app and logged in on the website. It's just a social Medio app. I can't even figure out how to host images. It just tries to make me create a post

I use Flickr. You need to copy the BB code here to get a picture. :)

Look up Pete's in Australia thread. He did a pretty comprehensive one about building his 450 Scrambler.... :)

By the way... you can run a CBR rotor & EX650 Caliper on that fork if my memory serves me correctly. There is a link in my sig below. The 450 uses the same size rotor as the bigger bikes 274mm so works with the standard kit.

This is kind of the idea I have in mind. It was built by brick house builds here in missouri

So now that I have the photos all sorted out. I have stripped out down to the frame and painted everything. I ordered an 18"front wheel. So I'll be running 18 front 17 rear. I have shinko 700 tires. Pro taper high bars. Planning on running a 2:1 exhaust. Keeping all original gauges. I do leather work professionally, so I'll do a custom leather seat.

So I had to order an 18" wheel from Germany (couldn't find one in the US) still waiting for it to come. So I put the tires on place to get an idea of what it will look like.

I got the rear tire on and wheel assembled. Polished the brake plate up a little.

Those could be my next pair of shoes. Currently on 705s. May go more aggressive with the 700s. Thanks

How do you like them? I've heard mixed reviews. For the price I figured what the heck I'd try them out. I figured with heavy duty tubes what could it hurt?

I like the 705, I run without tubes. I ride a lot of forest gravel and dirt roads. The one flat I had could have been easily fixed at road side with a plug kit and compressor. I now carry both. I could not fathom attempting a tube swap or repair on the trail/roadside.
