A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hey! our 82 gs1100gk had a small fire under the tank last summer, finally got it back from getting fixed. But since my hubby bought himself a new bike, I've been riding it.

Not sure if I want to keep it though. If I do I want to repaint and recover the seat.

What do you think of pink camo and a black seat? Or maybe do it a solid color.......but I don't want to be to plain you know.

Just getting some opinions if you all want to share.

Thanks!!

I think pink and black go particularly well together. However, if there is a good possibility you will be selling it soon, I would stay away from pink anything. I think it would be a deal breaker as far as reselling is concerned. Resale wise, black and silver/gray and maybe some red stripes or something. You're not going to find many guys that want to ride a camo pink bike. LOL

I agree, pink camo is cool, IF you decide to keep the bike.
It'd make it very hard to sell, though.
I'm biased, being a hot rodder as well as a biker, but to me you can't go wrong with black and hot rod red.

I'm definitely not one for custom paint on something I own though I love to see other's custom jobs. That said someone posted pics of their bike a while back, it had flames all over it, NOT my thing... but it was such a gorgeous job I would have bought it in a heartbeat! I think a lot of people felt the same. So what did he do? He returned it to stock! He did a meticulous job but I wanted to cry :(. Good luck whatever you decide.

LOL!! If we decide to keep it, we'd probably never get rid of it.

But true, you never know. So maybe pink camo wouldn't be the best idea. But it'd be neat, no one else I've seen has a pink camo bike yet.

My 450 is nice red. I like that, but I don't know if I want to go red again. mmm.....just don't know.

But I do know I don't want to ride around and a big brown bike!!

I put it in the other post... Keep it and paint it pink camo. That would rock out loud going down the street.
