DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I was just wondering because I am big time. Every bike I have is setup to drag race I am bracket/index racer

hi,been drag racing suzuki gs1000/1100's since 1981 in the uk and europe, race prostock in gainsville at the prostar finals in 97. nick

While I do race my friends on the street(in rural safe areas) I haven't been on the drag strip for years. I do love racing(no doubt we are all gear heads!) I have raced motocross, go carts, open wheelers, years in stock car racing(ARCA REMAX series). Hell, I'll race a shopping cart;)

is this a trick question?

No not really a trick question. I was just trying to see how many people in here have similar interest as I do. I will be heading up to VMP in June to race in the Man Cup race up there.

I use to race in the IDBA back in 80s. I ran in the super gas class (9.90) and ET. F&F racing. We were on a tight budget back then but we went all over had a lot of fun. I still have the bike 821100. Very nice rolling chassie. But I stole the engine for my 81E street bike...

Red do still have your CB1100F? I started on Hondas too.
I had my CB1100F running in the mid 9.60's on motor and high 8's on NO2

Indeed I do. 1123 arias pistoned 11.5 to 1, head work, sudco, barnett + springs, cbr coils, cbr wheels, 180 in the rr, ohlins, str stabilizer, corbin & more. I beat my buddy's CBR1100RR Blackbird w/ it.(once)

I have great diffuculty in deciding which bike to ride. I LOVE my ES. The BIG SIX is just the coolest motor of all time. The 900 sits & it is cbr wheeled, CR carbed, supertrapp etc etc

I like to watch...

I always said I could never just watch drag racing without competing in the race. But when I was teaching my son to race I had to give all my attention to him and was unable to race while he raced and I actually enjoyed just watching him learn to race. Now we are going to be a race team. If you look at the photos in my profile you can see how much I like drag racing.

I bet I can build a faster shopping cart than you can

HA HA HA HA! PERFECT RESPONSE !!!

Tell me what you had in that weak 11F motor to make it go so fast.

It had the 1123 pistons, larger stainless valves, big cams, under bucket shims, 36mm RS carbs, VnH sidewinder exhaust, Dyna ing.n coils, lock up clutch, air shifter, about 70hp shot NO2, and chassis work. it was the fastest street legal around here for a long time. I put the fear of Honda in people, It was hard to get a race after people got to know it.

Another racer here, been at it for a while. Bracket racing a GS1000 has a1238 kit, star head. Runs low 9's at 135.

I raced for several years....decided to quit due to a health issue...miss it a lot...
Ran an '82 GS1100E bar bike...

I'm getting re-started in drag racing. I aged out in flat track a long time ago and have kind of gotten out of shape for vintage MX and off road events (although I'm working to shape up and still do some of that) but, the desire to go drag racing has never left me...I did some back in the late 80's and early '90's winning a few trophies on a street bike and was starting to get the ball rolling on building a HD Super modified sportsman bike and got side tracked.
I've recently (after a long search) obtained a hopped up street GS 1100 and will get out to as many events as I can running brackets, learning and improving my bike with the goal to have some fun and maybe move up to an index class eventually.
