DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

As I've mentioned I have been looking for this bike...I had the same one brand new when I was 18 and unfortunately I had to sell it not too long after buying it because I needed a reliable car for a new job. I loved that bike.
I had taken an ad out on Craigslist in Vancouver looking for one...last weekend a a guy sent me a link to one for sale in Washington...I called the guy and bought it over the phone....

The details that I know so far..

He is the original owner
Just under 17,000 miles
All stock including original exhaust
Apparently it runs like new.

I have hired a custom broker to do the paperwork for the border and I'll go get it this week. Can't wait!!!

Trev,

Exciting.

Am trying to compare these
I've been thinking about this bike for a few months...it was in Vancouver and I was waiting until I had to go over for work so they would pick up the $180 ferry ride...lol...the owner had had it for 26 years but hasn't rode it much in the last few years...pretty decent shape...will need some carb work....not really my style but the price was too good to pass up..pretty good dent in the tank too...lol

When you get it home, will want an update pic of all them.

And it is located 4 miles from me. Hoping to meet up for lunch Tuesday. Canadians aren't safe here without an escort. Fair amount of open carry here in the red part of the bluest county in Washington....

You got it buddy....my treat! :)

Yeah, I like the ed better than the ef. Like I always say, "Of what use is a motorcycle to me if I can't see the engine?"

Of course if any ZX14R or Hayabusa owners offer to let me take 'em out for a spin, I won't have to think twice.

Yes Rob, I like to see the engine too! :) Can't wait to ride this bike...again. :)

You have added 2 beauties to your collection.

I like the covered engine look...fairings are nice!

So I got my 83 GS750ED home yesterday.
I went to Washington to pick up the bike Tuesday leaving on the 6am ferry from Victoria.
Drove through brutal I5 traffic...man people text and drive a lot there. Anyway got the bike...nice man I bought it from and the only owner. I was not going to make it back to the border until 4:30 which I thought was no problem...then I found out the customs office closes at 3:30...*@%^$*@%^$*@%^$*@%^$. So I got a room in Sumas by the border....went to the customs office at 8am opening and I was on my way in Canada at 8:40

:)

Bike was not firing on number four...bike sat for long periods of time between riding.
Any how put some amsoil product in the tank...and took it out for an ?Italian Tune Up?! Cleared up and ran better and better...gave it a little bath tonight.
I will go over the bike all winter long and bring it back to glory.
Can?t believe I have the same bike I bought brand new as an 18 year old.

I am envious Trevor. I too had a GS750E new from Mcbrides when I was 18. I put over 100k on it and loved all of it. I still think it is one of the best looking bikes around and one day will find a silver one. I will be interested to hear your ride report. I recall it being a hard accelerating, great handling machine, but that was almost 40 years ago! Please forgive my Lame attempt at posting a pic from 1984. Good luck with that sweet GS750E.
