A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Icon Airmada Helmet

I have been shopping for a new helmet online and had settled on the Icon Airmada due to it being designed for the "long oval" head shape. Aside from Arai and maybe Shoei, I haven't seen another helmet manufacturer that makes models specifically for head shape. (I haven't done an exhaustive search). Online the Airmada run from $180 for a solid color to another hundred give or take for some cool designs...so not so cool ones end up on clearance.

Saturday I stopped by PCP Motorsports in Elk Grove CA, south end of the Sacramento metropolitan area, to spend a few minutes looking a some beautiful new bikes and they had some Icon Airmada's available so I tried a couple on for size. A beautiful little blond girl offered me 10% off their $190 price for a flat black one to help me decide. I asked if she would like me to buy some gloves too. Not really, but you know, I bought it. What a comfortable helmet. The vents work great. When I first took off, I had not fully secured the shield and the extra airflow made the top of my head COLD. The interior is as comfy as a 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz with no spaces for wiggle for my "long oval" head.

Hopefully it will never get a scratch!
