A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

...And need a place to stay, shoot me a PM. We have plenty of room.
We do travel a lot, so ping me as far in advance as you can.
Make sure you have swimsuit packed. :)

Rick, What a great offer.
I looked on website to see "where in Oklahoma" but didnt see that anywhere.

We tried that in 2018, but had to take a rain check.

Maybe in 2020, when we try again? :encouragement:

.

I dont know Rich....Ive seen those rivers in OK  ;)

What, you don’t like muddy water noodling with a bunch of water moccasins?? Wimp...:)

Seriously, we have a pool and hot tub. Pretty nice to soak after a day on the road.
Space-wise, there’s a garage apartment with a double futon plus two bedrooms in the house, double bed in each. Plus floor space and air mattresses.
Garage space is a little limited, it’s about a 1.5 car and there’s a bunch of stuff in it, but parking in the driveway isn’t an issue. Have a lift and tools if some mid-trip maintenance is needed.

And Ashley’s a helluva cook. :)

A long bike trip, a bathing suit and the Flats of Oklahoma....i see where this is going.
Thanks for the invite.

Very generous of you to offer Rich. I will keep that in mind when I head out to Arizona.

... yes, very generous.
And while in OK one can visit the world's highest hill....just one foot shy of a mountain....

Rich, Great offer.
I was checking to see how far Oklahoma City is from from my preliminary intended route of US50 from southern CA to back home here.
Hum.... not really in route.....

Nope, not close at all. Believe me, there's lots of good reasons to give OK a miss. :)

Back in 2005, we attended a Kawasaki Voyager rally in Durango, Colorado. Our plan was to go north on the Million Dollar Highway to Montrose, turn right on US50 and take it all the way to Cincinnati, then turn north for the last few miles home.

Plans changed a bit. Long story short, both bikes ended up in a U-Haul truck just west of Dodge City, Kansas. Not the way we planned to end the trip, but the van's air conditioner worked VERY WELL, and it was a 100+? summer.

Friends and I are planning a ride to new mexico in mid may, two of them are doing most of the planning and have told me about a overnighter in campground near Moyer OK.

Maybe close enough to say hello, before I head out.

That's a decent part of the state. A bit NE of Moyers is a little town called Clayton, a few miles south of that on Hwy 271 is Clayton State Park. I've stayed there a few times on big dual sport events, it's really nice. Small lake there, cabins you can rent, I recommend it.
There's also a bunch of nice camping spots around Beaver's Bend Lake, further east towards the AR border.
And of course you can always stay here, I should be in town in mid-May.

Where in NM are you going? I lived in Albuquerque for many years.

I've been to beaver lake, thought that whole area was awesome. As for the new Mexico ride, all I know right now it's in north part of New Mexico .
