A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

First off, I LOVE NEWENOUGH.COM! I ordered the Joe Rocket Alter Ego (last year's model jacket and this year's pants) for $324 with free shipping... A few days later I realized they would not come in time since the pants had to come from one location and the jacket from their store. I called and immediately got a real person! Changed the shipping to 2 day air (cost me $22.70 extra) Fedex said it would be here buy the 2nd, so I would have to wait a little bit before I could leave for the WV rally, no big deal.... Fedex drops the package off at my work on the 1st! I'm one very happy camper at this point!

So I ride down for the rally, had zipped out the liner took the rain/wind proof panels off bot the jacket and pants. The jacket was so wonderful, like wearing a tee shirt. The fit couldn't have been better! The pants were a little on the hot side since I wore shorts that were long enough to cover most of the textile vent. In 90 degree weather, I advise wearing undees or a light pair of shorts. The only other complaint I have on the pants is the velcro needs to be longer so you don't have anything flapping around your ankles to distract you. I'm planning on sowing some extra on to take care of that.

I tried out the windproof rainproof shell on the way back home, seems to work nicely, but if it is very hot, you will slowing steam yourself to death LOL. But I have yet to find any rain gear that couldn't be said about.

Overall I am very pleased with this gear and the armor built in. Now I'll have to find out about the cold weather liner I have not used yet :-D
