A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I couldn't stand mine. Too top heavy, wrong posture, wrong engine. Fairing is so-so, Handling is poor for anything with sport in it's name. Gas mileage so so, Seat was terrible. Could not sell it fast enough. Others will disagree.

Ride one a while before you pull the trigger.

No disagreement here. I had a 2006 model between GS1000G models :). I don't miss it at all. The riding position was not at all comfortable. I'm over 6' tall and had a +7" windshield on mine. The wind protection was inferior to a Windjammer for me.

They had a decent forum when I had mine, but something happened and they split. I don't know about the new one. Of course, it was never as good as the GS Resources. :)

As for a suggestion, you have a GSX1100F, how about a GSX1100G? I just finished repairing mine (project bike) and it is great- mine has the factory fairing. There is a thread here on it in the "other projects" section. They are kind of hard to come by, especially with the fairing, but there are two FS in the road ready section here now, one of which has the fairing plus there is one FS on ADV Rider in PA with the fairing. The more I ride it, the more I like it.

I don't HATE the olde Connie, I just prefer the new one! I think the ZX-11 makes a nice sport tourer, though.

I had a 1990 Concour that I bought new. I liked some things about the bike but not others. Overall the Connies are a good bike and reliable as history has shown, and have a very loyal following. They came out with the ST1100 shortly after I purchased the Concour and I wished for years that I had bought one of those. Finally 19 years later I purchased an ST1300 and have really enjoyed it. It's a big improvement over the Concour I remember. The new 1400 cc.Concour is a whole different story and the writeups have been very good. 20 years was way too long a time for the makeover.
