Medical breakthrough for men

I recall many a said eavesdrop at work with 20 to 30 somethings discussing their snippage:
It was so odd to hear them speak of being fixed as some sort of blessing.
I realize that they had achieved the near impossible in finding a "partner" and were no doubt thrilled by the prospect of spending a seeming eternity with them.

They got mad when I asked what is she dies next week? What if she falls pregnant? What then if/when will she leaves you for a younger richer better looking "partner"

Irrevocable self-mutilation is easier than self control it seems.

Had similar experience in conversation with two under thirty young men

One young gentleman had just turned 21 and he said he hated kids and his recently ex girlfriend was wanting to have kids so bad he was concerned and that's why she's an ex.

The other guy had just hit 28 and married with two kids and didn't want any more , so he got snipped.

Seems like a lot of guys are doing it now

And there is my cousin, had one kid and his wife said any kind of birth control made her sick, so at age 33 he got snipped.
From what I understand he just went and had the procedure done without discussing it with his wife, just what I heard from family members.

Also heard he really wanted another kid, but the pregnancy and birth was hard on his wife because of some medical physical issue she has .

Just a few years later they slit up and she goes through two or three relationships and then she gets pregnant with the new man.

Bet my cousins still shaking his head over all that drama.

The stories above seem to support the idea of reversible action.

Not the finality of "the snip", but an option that works for now and can be changed if/when partners and or choices change.

As for the finality of "the snip" that is a common understanding, but in reality it may not be final.

I suspect there are many men who have sought and experienced successful reversal., but this new idea would have meant a simple stop initially, and reverse it whenever you wish.....or just let it be permanent.
.

Success rates of a reversal are quite low in reality. A lot of people end up having it extracted instead.

I heard that, too. Then I met a doctor who specialised in this field. He told me it was more than a bit of exaggeration, as the success rate of the surgery is actually quite good, but there are other factors that can be problematic and which affect the ultimate numbers. The biggest one is that men produce less of the little critters today than they did in the 1900's and the longer the passage of time between snip and restoration the greater chance that lower numbers will result as the body has not been replacing them as it normally would when they were used.

EDIT: Additionally, with the passing of years, motility is affected, meaning they are not as capable to swim strongly.

.

You may be unaware of it, but this, in considerable part, is caused by the enduring and growing effects of The Pill as women excrete the hormones in urine and they are not removed by standard filtration or other treatments of waste/sewage so they end up in lakes, streams, etc. When freshwater from those sources is recaptured for public use, the systems employed there to clean the water also have have no significant ability to remove the resident hormones, so they go directly into distribution systems for human consumption.

Yes, cows are a part of it,. but the article itself is misleading
How you present facts, as well as which facts are selected for the presentation, can be deliberately planned.
This is far from new, as this is how advertising has worked for decades and, on a huge scale, we already saw it happen with the tobacco folks and then those who were invested in the continued use of tetraethyl lead in gasoline did the same.

A considerable part of the public is willing to accept scientific views without challenge, just as they did with tobacco and lead during those many years when their ultra-wealthy proponents employed official scientists and "science" to promote and uphold the status quo with all of their products.

. The most recent developments made in water filtration systems are definitely superior to what they were only a few years ago, and articles such as this one offer their views in an entirely positive light. This is not unreasonable as very considerable sums of money have been spent to achieve these new effects and results. So.....perhaps everything said is correct, but what is missing?

Everything said there can and/or might be true, but a physical reality is that the implementation of the most recent equipment and planning is very costly, and in many instances unaffordable, which limits it to the specific communities where the newer methods and standards have been employed.

How many thousands of other communities across the country might want this, but cannot afford to do it?

Coupled with this, the article totally ignores the most important facts of all:

The compounds as well as the means of making "The Pill" today are not the same as they were in earlier years, long before the latest water treatment designs/systems came into existence. This also fully applies to the means of water treatment in those years.

and, as seen in the consequences mentioned in Post #7, above

The damage is already done.

I was actually thinking about your Post #7 this weekend while I was spreading Weed and Feed on my lawn. What's really in that stuff and what else does it affect? And the endless supply of chemicals we use every day to achieve some end with whatever snake oil is out there, not really thinking about the means.

I agree with you in part that there are definitely unintended consequences that are not always considered, or just blatantly ignored.

Been reading a book about "ultra processing" in the food industry.... eye opening too. Again a perfect example of science being bent to show what big industry wants it to!

Another factor that has a very strong effect is women coming off the pill, sometimes after ten or more years, with plans to get pregnant.

It is well known, and well-documented, that environment affects both s perm and eggs, but it is near impossible to find studies that openly identify and quantify the genetic effects those previous years of hormone usage have caused to their eggs.

Children born from such eggs have guaranteed damage, but how much and to what extent remains either unknown, unstated. or both.
