A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Need wiring diagram for start circuit

  • Thread starter Thread starter pooleo
  • Start date Start date
Yoder CO (about two hours south of Tkent) was sitting at 32 today, now down to 11. If mine wasn't waiting on a couple of parts I'd be out there in a heartbeat.

Have you taken a power light and checked for power at the kill switch/starter button? Have you bothered to look over the wiring inside the headlight bucket to make sure everything is still connected? Have you bothered to check for power at the fuse block to ensure you are getting power all the way there? Jumping at the solenoid skips all that OR did you bother to read ALL the posts?

Having a fricking wiring diagram won't tell you jack scch!t without actually looking at the damn bike in the process.

NO! As stated, I started with the clutch saftey switch! I bypassed it. Tried the starter button, nothing happend. I put the bike back in the shed, its freezing BALLS OUTSIDE! ITS 15* OUT!

HOLY FOCK PEOPLE!

As I have already said, when it warms up, I will go back to looking at it!

good for you, who the fock rides in 11* temps. Im calling BS on this.

holy sh1t. it never fails. every forum has you few guys.
I agree. There are always a few ignorant twits who feel entitled to come into a forum, insult established members who are attempting to help, and feel self righteous enough to insult anyone else who is silly enough to attempt to assist. What idiots.

hey, the established members are the ones coming out with the insults. sensitive people, got to love them.

Granted that some people don't like it when the advice they give is not taken, but you gotta chill out.

Anyways, your short list of what the problems could be:

Solinoid: jump 12v to where the small wire attatches
Broken Wiring: Heavy gauge is good, you tested that by shorting the solinoid
Corroded connector: Ttake apart and clean
Starter button: Usually full of corosion. Take apart and clean. Watch for flying spring.
Clutch interlock wiring: I know it has been beaten to death, but you didn't mention if you checked it with a multi-meter/test light or just visually looked to see if they are connected/bybassed.

I would say 5-10 minutes with a multimeter and you could have your problem diagnosed.

Good luck.

Apparently, his test tools don't work at 15 degrees.
agreed, but being 15* outside, I think Ill wait till it warms up a bit :p

Surely he knows enough to bring the bike inside to work on it...
Maybe too ryxdixic to have a kitchen table?

lmao. Im not in a life or death situation here. Im not in a mad rush to get the bike running to ride around in snow (if it ever comes)

Im not worried about fixing it RIGHT THIS SECOND!

But hey, Im sure you're the kinda guys that park your bikes next to your bed or place it in the center of the living room.....lol

No actually they're all in a garage. A big heated garage. I would offer it to you to use but you're really quite annoying.

troll on, troll on.

The thread is now for you guys to continue the bash. Good luck with that.

I love this. Stupidity for stupid sake. The best part is the failure to recognize. Please, continue to entertain us.
