A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

'tis true.... I have been thinking the same thing on the pinstripe if needed.
and after seeing them on the bike, that pretty much set it for me. Will be spraying the clear on them as is on Sunday.

So a few quick pics of little stuff I did while the paint cured...
Bother in law cracked the windshield on his bike and after I installed his new one, I scavenged some of the hardware from his old one to make the exhaust hanger.

Got the air box fitted and the new Uni filter on.

But before I did that I HAD to see how the tins looked in place ;)

I've been on the fence with the black, seeing them on the bike it's clear them.

WoW, awesome, that is looking stunning, I can't wait to see that pait job with the clear on it, it is really going to shine.
Nice work on that exhaust bracket, your attention to detail is top class.

Well, it's a done deal now... Clear is on! Really makes the metalic in the blue sparkle, at least in the shop. After it dryed for an hour of so I opened the door and snapped this pic to show the reflection and how smooth it turned out.
The focus and reflection doesn't do the color justice but I will get a shot of the pieces outdoors next sunny day...

I see what you mean about the focus, but I sure can see a GL in that reflection :D

Can't wait to see it out in the sun, I'm anticipating being highly impressed :D

Very arty, HD, very arty indeed. :)

I like what you've done.
Left field approaches are always a bit fo a gamble but I think you've pulled it off nicely.

Thanks folks your positive comments really mean a lot! We had an engaugement tonight that kept me away from the shop, but it rained ALL day anway. Maybe better pics tomorrow. With a real camera instead of a phone posing as one. LOL

Ok, last time I going to dwell on the paint but I am so happy with the way it turned out!
I got it out in the sun and here is the results.

Here is the reflection when not in the direct light.

And the metalics up close...

Could have done with a black stripe or two, just for contrast and set off all the white :p:p:p
