A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi There,
Got this off craigslist last week and am really pleased with it. Normally bikes come off the truck looking worse than the pics you used to buy them. This came off and completely blew me away. 6K miles and looks like it just left the showroom. Love 2 stroke bikes normally but I,m thinking this one might be a keeper.

Being that it's my favorite GS color, I'd say it's a keeper! Welcome

cg

Does anyone know any details on this paint color? Is this the Potomac Blue? I'm trying to find this paint or a very close match so I can repaint my 77.

WOW!

Please keep the bike stock. A vintage bike that nice deserves to be kept stock.

What a sweetheart! A real honey. 6k miles, she's just getting broken in.

I too am curious about the cost, but more important, more pics, please. Lots more pics. Congratulations and good luck. Ride her in health.

If she was mine, I'd eventually remove the crash bars, but even with 'em, she's gorgeous, just gorgeous! Love to see more pics.

+1 on more pics!
Any trouble spots at all?
Seat pan? Underside of the exhaust? Scratched plastic? Bug guts on the mirrors?
It looks Smithsonian! :D

Jeeze , wouldn't that make a great chopper bobber rat thingy .

Mate , you've scored yourself one of the nicest bikes on here .

Rat bobber chop that and I'll travel from the other side of the world and call you a poo poo head to your face .

Enjoy the ride .

Cheers , Simon .

The bike is being kept stock, I always prefer stock.
The bike came with 2 things not stock.
Padded rubber grips and a custom King/Queen type seat.
Kicker is it also came with the original seat wrapped up in plastic in a box so swapped it back out. The original seat being taken off on delivery so all intents and purposes a NOS seat. Original P/N grips sourced from a Suzuki dealer in the UK has replaced the non standard grips so she is back to her former glory.
She started right up but idled a bit rough. Ran perfectly at higher revs. Sounds and rides like new. Will probably just go through pilots and maybe get the carbs tuned properly.
The price? Let's just say I think I got a very good deal.
Maybe putting it back on the market soon as funds are needed towards buying a house.
