A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Everyone if you would please list what mods you have done to the suspension, wheels, brakes, etc. The main changes that have improved the handling of your machine.

This is a great thread, and likely my favorite bike genre. Hey Steve, maybe we'll your gs in the riding game this year? I really dig the CBX also.

Does my 78 qualify?

By resto-mod I of course mean any GS or other vintage bike you might have that has been fitted with modern/late model suspension (front end/swingarm/shocks), wheels, tires, brakes etc that improve the handling/ride-ability of the bike. Resto-mods ONLY please. If your bike is customized but doesn't fit the resto-mod criteria there is a "Custom" thread here in the appearance section.

Wedoo2, I would say a resounding NO.
You might have to check with Steve or Nessism as they both believe that I need help with my reading comprehension. LMAO! I don't know HOW I made it for more than 60 years without their help.

Love that paint job but gotta say not a fan of how the seat looks. I am sure it's comfy though.

Thx Steve, hard to believe that seat has over 100K miles on it. If I were nit picking I'd point out that the hump where it transitions to the tail is too high which leaves the seam visible.

I do have a NOS replacement stock seat which has never been used. Suzuki provided the replacement when the original split at 10K. That's all NOS GSX1100 body work which has never seen the road.

The Gunfighter is hard but very comfortable. Sargent makes a nice seat as well although I've had some issues with their pan's cracking on the FZ1 (I'm on my third),
