A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Sir, you are my hero! I have been trying to find a copy of the below Kerker ad for years. Back in the mid 80's I was dating a young lady that had an uncanny resemblance to the woman in this ad. Other than the fact that my '83 1100E had a Supertrapp pipe this pic could have been taken on my bike with my (then) girl:

Of course, now that I am happily married to a much better woman I rarely ever think of old "What's Her Name"...............;)

Now I am happy that at least someone appreciates all the scanning and effort.
And, The one that you marry is the keeper and the past only "haunts" you, right?

Actually, yes. I definitely married a keeper 15 years later and "What's Her Name" was a bit flighty and would never have made a good wife. But she did have some good points which are hard to forget......real hard.:dancing:

Thanks again,
Joe

Flighty makes them fun even if unreliable and definately not a keeper. But fun to play with.

Greg (gmansyz) sent me some hard copy pics quite a while back. It has taken some time but I have finally completed the intended project of having them scanned and cleaned up then printed. When this project started I had access to a printer in our company demo center but lost that access so it took some time to find someone to print the pics for a reasonable price (free). Below are the cleaned up scans I have been able to get printed. All are printed on decent quality 11x17 inch paper. I have a handful of each print and would be willing to send out one set each on a first-come, first-served basis. I am asking for a small donation of $10 to help defray the cost of shipping tubes and postage. I'm not looking to make any money on this deal but also don't want to lose money.

I wonder if we could create a folder for all these articles? I have a bunch of Joe Minton articles, Custom Rider magazine articles and other How to articles from cam timing, valve lash to period road tests

Just wondering

Joe thanks so much. I was first for a change.:D
I already sent my address to you in a pm.

Thanks again,

Trevor

Glad I was able to help, Joe. So guys, step up. $10 just covers the shipping.
And yes, a master, public file share for all the pics and articles would be nice SRsupertrapp, but where?
Then Joe, how difficult would it be to make a 24 x 36 Poster of some of these? I know when you blow them up they loose resolution, so maybe do some kind of trick like the police shows and maybe add some pixels?
Sorry, I am looking for a job again so can't get them yet.

Greg,

Blowing the images up isn't a big deal. Yes, the resolution will suffer a bit but they aren't high resolution anyway. The harder part is finding a printer to print bigger sizes. Most of the printers I have access to max out at 11x17 or 12x18 paper sizes. There are wide format printers available that can do much bigger prints but I have VERY limited availability to these. If anyone has access to large format printers I can send them the cleaned up scan files.

Thanks,
Joe
