A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Anybody know if there are options other than the Mac, old Kerkers and V&H? I'm not a fan of the megaphone look. I really like the old school yosh pipes, like the ones Carpy is having rebuilt for the cb750s. How come we get shaft with the GSs? I thought Yosh and Suzuki were tight!

What about chopping the megaphone off and welding a straight pipe one? Possible?

Keep a check on ebay, you could get one like my Gemini system new. Was made for a GS1150E but now it is on my GS1100GL.

Anything is possible...why not graft a late model can of your choice on to the existing header. You might (or not) need a custom mid-pipe whipped up at a muffler shop. The old Yosh systems do come up for sale occasionally, here & on ebay, if you have the patience.
BTW, not sure who Carpy is, but we have a member here with the handle 'Motogpwerks' who is re-creating old school styled Yosh systems and can ship you a brand new one from California.

If you have a welder, grab some pipe, and some experience, you could just make your own hybrid exhaust, kinda mix and match parts.

That's what I plan on doing at least.

I like the megaphone look, you just don't see it anymore.
However, I just don't wanna spend the $350+ for the exhaust kits.

Sometimes it's just easier to make everything yourself, and get a nice paint job.

1 v8- Yea, that's what I'm thinking. I've got a stock GSXR exhaust that I might cut up to use for parts...

marving for gs1000e.....

marving for gs1000e.....

hi guys i really like the marving 4-1 exhaust ,,,from marving but when i looked up the site i could not find any your help would be greatly appreciated regards david :):)

Those Marving pipes look sweet but I couldn't find them anywhere. The only connection was wemoto, but they had no pics or information.

Same with Harris. Are you sure Harris makes an exhaust for this older bike?

srsupertrap- Thanks for the tip on the ehaust. Do you know if that pipe will fit a 77 GS750?
Cheers

I don't know but I am sure some another GSer does.

I would suggest looking up the V&H GS1000 application and determine whether it's the same V&H P/N as the GS750 2V. I know you would like to buy it and have it slip right onto a GS750 but I am sure the GS1000 & GS750 frames are different so the peg mounting points will be off
