A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Well, a lot of the insulation has cracked & is falling off my 40 yr. old Jumper cables soooo, My first shot at a "Jump Box". I just bought a Noco GB70, 2000A. Hard to imagine they don't come with an instruction book. So Looking on computer I've not found my answer... It says for fast charging using the included 12V wire with 12V cigarette lighter plug on one end and little 2 prong plug on the other and plug it up to your auto. It says it should charge in about 2.5 hrs. It doesn't mention it, but should the eng. be running, off, or does it matter? With the eng. not running could this thing take too much charge out of my auto battery that my auto may not start? Will this box charge faster, less than 2.5 hrs., if the eng. is left running?

Thanks, How I read it, it says If plugged into wall it charges at either 0.5A, 1A, or 2A (28hr., 14hr., or 7 hr. charge time). Says 12V Fast Charge(36W) auto Aux. Plug (cigarette lighter) it charges at 3A (2 to 3 hr. charge time) way faster than in wall plug.. I'm thinking however much power I pull out of my auto batt., to charge this jump box, I've weakened my auto batt. by that same amount unless the eng. is running.. Also know if eng running the alternator is charging, there's more power than with eng. off, so shouldn't the jump box charge quicker with eng. running? Haven't seen mentioned anywhere in instructions, so thinking maybe it don't matter... All confusing to me... I left it plugged into the wall yesterday and last night, and light was green this morning, so supposed to be completely charged.

I wouldn't charge it in the car unless you were on a trip somewhere & the engine was running....
