DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

This stranger did NOT ask permission to sit on my bike.

I didn't think I needed to. But that's ok. I see where we stand now...

I didn't say I was mad about it. Even spyders [sic] have to live somewhere, right. AFAIK, he still lives on the "Z". As long as he doesn't bite or have all his friends over for crazy parties, I'm good with sharing. Hasn't ponied up a dime in gas money yet, though. Freeloader.

I bought a GS 650 from a fellow in Reno who's discription in his Craigs list add read as follows: " rolled this bike out of the garage out of the garage where it has sat for 6 years, killed the 2 Black Widows, and after priming, it sputtered to a rough idel."

Well I've got nothin'....was hoping to get out this week, but the mornings have been busy, and the afternoons stinkin' hot.

Me neither, bob. Day aint over yet though. Still over eight hours for me to get sumpin'. Not hot here yet, just ridiculously windy!

Not sure if this qualifies...I just got back from riding my Cooley to California....almost 6000kms
Anyway I have been to the MotoTalbott motorcycle museum before and wanted to take my friends...unfortunatly the museum was going to be closed on the day we would be in Monterey....so months ago I emailed the owner Robb Talbott (of Talbott Clothiers and Vineyards) to see if he would open up for us...to my surprise he said yes and gave us a private tour...this was me meeting him for the first time....
If it doesn't qualify no biggie....love the pic! :)

Here's a shot of a strange fellow walking around our bikes at Green Jeans. OK, he's no stranger anymore, but I hadn't met this GSR member (Themess) before that night.

Happy Friday you two wheeled photogs.....Let's vote.

First...the theme....

Strangers, a picture of a complete stranger with your bike.

That's it, only seven...If I did miss one, please let me know.
(Light turnout this week...But it was a very tough theme...At least IMHO...)

Good morning all,
No entry for me this week.... no pics on file, plus I didn't even get out for a ride.... boo.....

Voting for Trevor... it looks like the gentleman is spinning a good yarn about the old days.
Redman's is pretty humorous. Not sure what's going on there, but it almost looks like an attempt at salemanship.....

Morning
My Vote also goes to Trev as well, Love his Cooley. Great shot!
Trevor for me this week.

Love Redman's and Trevor's photos....

But my vote for the best photograph goes to Sandy....Nicely done!

Fun theme gustovh. Technically, not the best photo. It's overexposed and soft, but voting for Dave Redman this week anyway. It's hard to get a well composed candid shot of someone, let alone a stranger, AND your bike. I really like this shot. Well done Dave. You even pulled off your signature reflection motif capturing a passing car in the fairing.

I found this theme particularly challenging. I had two good opportunities yesterday, but didn't have the nerve to grab the camera concerned I may embarrass these folks.

First, an Autozone employee came out to test my battery. He saw the bike and said "WOW, how old is this thing?" We chatted for a minute or two, he tested the battery and back to the store he went.

The second was the cart shagger at WalMart. He had a mechanized cart pusher thing and pulled up next to where I parked. "I think yours is faster" he said. I thought about offering to race for titles, but wondered how I'd ride that thing home, LOL.

I like Redman's shot this week.
