Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

I don't really want to incur the wrath of the crazy-eyed cat or Merlin masquerading as a child but i have to vote for Burque73.
Showing kids not to be afraid of bikes and/or bikers.

Tough call for me between Burque and Kerrfunk. I'll give the nod to Burque mainly on the lighting. I really did like the stuffed animal touch in Kerrfunk's though.
...

Saturday morning (Pacific time also).

Vote Tally

dpep 5, Redman 2, Dorkb'r 1, Eli 2, Burque 2

Someone could check my count, but I could have miscounted a couple and not effect the outcome.
Congratulations, Don, as being the winner.
And after partisipating only, what, 3 weeks. THis is your 3rd submission. And 1st and 2nd were the same photo.
So could say the 2nd photo you submitted is a winner.

So, now, Don, you get to name the category-theme-subject for the this coming week.
Note: Naming the category-subject-theme is more important than you also submitting an entry. So if you think of a category-subject-theme, but are not finding a picture, dont let that hold you up from naming the category-subject-theme.

I (and maybe others) would be interested to hear your double exposure technique and strategy.

I concur that Dpep is our winner this week...
Congratulations Don!
Love that photo...
Can't wait to read what our new theme will be...

I have to believe the double exposure was intentional the way one is arranged with the other. And both are great captures of the scene, each with two people, so four times the difficult (or maybe to power of four).
and that is capture of light through the lens ( Not later manipulation).
I (and maybe others) would be interested to hear your double exposure technique and strategy.
Maybe he was stacking negatives in his darkroom....hmmmmm....;)

Thank you all. Gimmick over talent for sure but I'll take it. :)

For this week lets make the theme, "Camped Out." Campground, campfire, campsite, tent, table, etc. Alternative would be bike loaded with camping gear.

This is what I got. I didn't camp, but I did a four-day, eight-state, 1,300-mile road trip. There's a duffel bag on the back there, in a garbage bag because rain.

On the return from Green Mountain GSR Rally 2019. About 20 miles from home I noticed the rising full moon. Always looks better in person. The Ugly was saying, "Is that all ya got, pvssy? How about another 1000 Miles?..."

I (and maybe others) would be interested to hear your double exposure technique and strategy.
The strategy was "let's try this and see what it looks like." Mostly it was of the same subject or scene at the same time with the same settings but from a different angle or pose. Otherwise it was all a crap shoot.

The technique is what you outlined. Arm the shutter without advancing the film. With rare exceptions I shot only slide film--Kodachrome or Ektachorme in a 35mm SLR--so I had few negatives to play with. I had 6000 or so of the slides digitized by Scan Cafe back in 2012. The shot I submitted was originally 9.6mb cut to 129kb for posting here.

Early '90s, at some Harley weekend thing, somewhere in IL with my now wife, Amy.
We had our first date on that bike...'78 Sportster

(We haven't camped in a long, long time. Doubt we ever will again. At least on purpose)

I got nothing this week...I don't sleep on the ground when touring on my motorcycle I'm afraid.

Camped with bike once.
Brown County state park for Brown County rally, May 2005.
Trailered bike, and camped in back of van (converted yuppie van into hippy van by taking out seats and putting in cushion).
Have a not-at-all-good pic, and doesn't look like camping. Is van and trailer and bike (and grumpy wife).

Old pic! I'll have some new shots on my cross country trip coming next year.

My first bike and first camping excursion on a bike.
Many, many moons ago.

We go camping often. Have had the bike with me often. Have NOT taken any pictures of it... This thread keeps telling me I need to take more pictures of stuff...

Not a requirement. You could just be visiting a campground for some other reason or parked by a picnic table or by a camp circle or bonfire as examples. Heck, in front of an outfitter or camping supply store would do. I have pitched a tent in someone's yard when they hosted weekend long parties. I was thinking of as wide a net as possible.
