• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    Welcome!
Register to access the full functionality of the GSResources forum. Until you register and activate your account you will not have full forum access, nor will you be able to post or reply to messages.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Jedz and Burque for most interesting & attractive photo involving severe weather.

dpep for the most sever results of weather.

For treacherous, that imply immediate hazard, Rich and Bob baatfam invoke an immediate felling of Yikes!

Voting for Baatfam.

Voting for the other Scott (Cowboyup) because I have ridden into a few of those and it will get the Adrenalin pumping.........

Saturday, Early A.M. but is past midnight Pacific time.

Good amount of entries, many great pics. I count 10 votes.

My tabulation has: Sandy 1, Cowboy 2, Jedz 2, dpep 2, baatfam 3.

THe last vote breaking 3 way tie, with Bob baatfam track pic taking the prize.
Someone can verify my count

Count confirmed....

Sweet Bloody Hell?
How did I win with a last minute, gopro, screen grab....?
Especially with all the really great photos this week....?

Anyway...Thanks guys....:o
That was a track day, and track days are rain or shine.
It was an interesting day.

Give me a couple hours to think of a theme...I find myself unprepared.;)

Sorry for the delay.....This week's theme is pretty simple, but hopefully will allow a little creativity....

Larger Than Life!

Congrats, Bob!
By my reckoning, you've submitted a picture each of the 33 weeks of the year.
Roger (burq) has missed one week,
and Vince (gus) and Dave (redman) and I have each missed two weeks.

Mr Casey Spider probably recognizes this place.
UUeZPHF.jpg

Myself and Mr Justin Redmanson at Kersting Motorcycle Shop & Museum, Winamac Indiana, enroute to Brown County 2017.

Is a bland selfie, suitable for the memory of our trip.

I have something in mind locally, may have half a day this week that I can get out for a ride.

Water tower designed to look like a transistor. This is at the former Bell Labs site built in the late 50s when the transistor age was in its infacncy and cutting edge tech.

It was tough image to get. The tower is obviously overexposed, and I had to use my cell phone flashlight to light up the cycle.

I figured I'd come acrossed something while I was riding this week, but wound up empty handed. Didn't even think to look through baloon fiesta pics from a few years ago.

Here's Airabelle the cow.

This basket office building is/was the Longaburger Basket Company in Newark Ohio. I was riding along and then WOW what is this! I had to stop to check it out. Pretty impressive 👍
