• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

steve murdoch I like cows too.Oh, maybe not quite as much, as to not just muscle through 'em before the calves decide to play or they all come over wanting hay...:)

A Honda waiting on a Kaw? That one cow is looking at the Honda with bad intent. Another vote for Steve Murdoch!😃

Well , I live in a county where cows outnumber people so all those ayrshires are just another slippery reason to slow down. I like mr. Kerrfunks classic lounging pic.

I'll have you know that one of the cows was looking at me with bad intent. The lady at the right of the pic actually had to lead him across the road after he took about four steps towards me. Maybe the full leather suit i was wearing *@%^$*@%^$*@%^$*@%^$ed him off. ;)

I'm a little late but I cast for Steve Murdoch's delayed by livestock shot as well. Trevor's delayed by weather shot was a close second.
...

Do we really have to tally the votes? Of course we do!

With one vote each, kerrfunk and Redman...

And with eleven votes, yes 11, steve murdoch! Congratulations!

Steve, the voters have been herd. So let's moove along to the next theme. Whatcha got for us?

Holy cow! Thanks for the votes, Gents.
W.C. Fields said something about never follow children or animals on stage so this could be tough.

Again this could be a duplicate and maybe even a duplicate from me but how about your bike/project being "transported". If it is a recent duplicate please let me know.
In a pick-up, on a trailer, in a trailer, on a ferry?

This week's theme:
how about your bike/project being "transported"
After having owned a 550 L, and then an 1100 GL, and then a 700 E, I realized that I preferred the GL and I desired the nimbleness of the 550. The 850GL weighs about the same as the 1100GL, and the 750GL is not available in the US, so 650GL was next on the list. I found one 180 miles away, and it was not exactly running. Later I decided that it had not been neglected, it had been abused. Took a few years and a conspiracy of generosity to get it running, but here it is on my first day with it.

How about transported by freight elevator?

This caught my eye the other day and fits right in here. The trucker must have picked up a souvenir while in Albuquerque.

NOT AN ENTRY AND NOT MY BIKE just wanted to share it.

Well I certainly have lots of pics of me transporting bikes but none comes to close to how special this one is...me and Wes Cooley taking my gs1000s to interviewed for a local tv motorcycle show. I'll never forget that experience. :)
