Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Back when the grand kid was on the training wheels. You should see him now.

My first road bike

had it 11 days and had my first accident when a car crossed in front of me...............Can't lay all the blame on the car

Took me a year to be able to affored to fix. Couldn't afford a set of muffles, (rolled up chicken wire into tight sausage about 8" long for baffles) but did to get some art for the tank

I put 2020 miles on my first tour, at the end of it the old girl had 3800 on the odometer.

A friends 74 CB 550 in the early 90s. This was the first fully legal road bike I ever rode.... it was exhilarating. I didn't yet have a moto license or even a permit yet, but would within the year. I took my road test on this bike. Sadly my friend lost interest in about a year and the bike was left to weather in a condominium complex parking lot before being twice.

Good Morning, GSR! It's Friday, so let's review our photos and vote.

First the theme by Rich82GS750TZ, (Rich):

First Time

That should be all of theme. Good stuff, gang!

Don't forget to vote, and if anything is amiss, please let us know.

Voting for Redman... Oh the memories of my mom's first ride with me on my GS750 in 1978.... I can see me and her in your picture.

Mr Dorkburgers 550 4 reminds me of the first time I was arrested on a bike. It was right after I got back from a 1000 mile trip and got busted almost in front of my house. That was a pretty good bike.

Voting for Mr Dorkburger.

Can't vote for myself so Dorkburger gets my vote for the 550/4.

Almost as good as the 500's:p

No rule that says you can’t vote for your own pic.

I’m voting for Eli69.
I think I’ve met that kid.

I like both those old Hondas. No accessories, no luggage carrying capacity, just motorcycle! Six of one, half dozen of the other, I'll go with Dorkburger's 550/Four. But both are totally proper scooters.

Went back and forth all day between Bob's wide eyed little girl and Dave's Mom pic. For sentimental reasons voting for Redman and Mom.

Voting for Burque73

I really like the pic, reminds me of stopping along the way back to my home town.

I never got nostalgic or emotional when I traveled back in car or truck

it's been several years since I've went back to hometown on a motorcycle voyage, used to twice a summer.

Last time I did ,I left right after work six - seven hour ride, got there around midnight and just rode around town for about a bit just reminiscing about the past ,before I went to my cousins who knew I'd be late and left a light on for me.

Good Morning GSR! Let's tally the votes....

With one vote, Burque73
With two votes, Eli69
With three votes, dorkburger

And with four votes for the win, Redman and his Mom...

What's next Dave?

(EDIT: I know Dave is at the Brown County Rally, so he may not answer quickly...)
