• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Saturday.
some interesting photos.
vote tally time.

gustov 1, trevor 4, Redman 1
baatfam 2, burque 2, dgates 1

While tallying the score I could then see was a three way tie at two each, untill last two votes came in.

Trevor gets the honor of being the winner, and has the duty of naming a new topic/theme.

How about "Middle of nowhere"? Or not a another vehicle in sight.
This was on the East side of Alberta on my way home from Ontario in October

I've done some sketchy rides on a bike, this one on a 450 Rebel was one of the sketchery ones. This is the start of the Barlow trail and the last ride I took with my brother.

My first thought was "Roger Burque or a couple others will get this".....

So this is first one I could find that fits.

A lot of the area around there is quite low population density. And a lot of the roads have little traffic. ANd a lot of the roads just follow the lay of the land, with no shoulder. Are many places where road is along base of a wooded rize, inbetween that and open field.

And .....are places where you and bike can lay in the road for 5-10-15-20-30 minutes (I dont really know) without anyone comming along. But, I dont want to use THAT picture again.

Shoot, most all are the middle of nowhere. I'm see'in it a little different. Voting Dorkburger & his pitiful little scooter, all by his self somewhere in the middle of a ghost town, no people, bikes, nor autos anywhere in sight, on a snowy cold winter night. Heck I want to go get him and take him home, wrap him up in a nice wool blanket, and give him some hot chicken soup.... Please, somebody go help him.
