If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

I will cast my vote a bit later, but for those that were wondering about my "NOT entry" in post 218, my son was on the back seat, bored and trigger-happy. That was in the back of my black helmet. The "feature" in the lower-right corner is one of the vents on the helmet.

Friday......
We have 9 submissions.

Are scattered over a few pages with discussion in between, so let me review here:
213 Mine, Curvey road scene in GK fairing
214 Justin Jedz, His face in engine case
217 Glen DB, 1150 in puddle
218 Steve, bikes in mirror and bikes ahead on the road
219 Bonita Mrs Steve, bike behind in mirror
222 Trev, Wes Cooley bike and Wes Cooley person (I would say not a photographic reflection. But I am not King of the GSR Pic Of The Week.)
229/232 Norm Storm, Self X2 and GS X2 in bike
231 Bonadave, reflection in bike, bike in reflection, reflection in building
238 Roger Burque, LKR in car door

I have always liked the on-the-road-view-in-mirror photos, and these two here are good ones also.

I like Jedz's, and Storm's, and Bonazadave's and Rogers (and mine) for the imagination of posing the photo, and for the photo itself.
Jed'z has a few interesting elements other than the reflection.
Bonazadave's has multiple aspects of "reflections" and reflections are the main topic of the photo.
Storm's is a great picture of a great shiny GS engine that has multiple reflections including other GSes.

So, four pictures really have my interest.
For a general purpose photo contest I would have to conciser Jedz's or Bonazadave's (or mine).
But using the fact that this is a photocontest on GSR, I will use that consideration as a tie-breaker and call for Norm Storm.

the image of something in a mirror or on any reflectivesurface:

It's a toss up between Bonanza Dave and Redman. I like Trevor's play on words and "reflecting" on his weekend with Wes Cooley. But this is a photo contest...

My pick goes to... can I have the envelop please.... BONANZA DAVE! I just love the 82 1100e 👍

Saturday (Pacific time).......
9 entries (more than typical)
5 votes. (same or less than typical)

2 Bonazadave, 3 Norm Storm.

Norm! Lets see what yah got for us this week.......

Okay guys, thanks for the nod. At first I thought of your motorcycle in some sort of disassembly. But that's kind of boring. Then I thought how about your motorcycle packed down for a big trip/or just packed down.

Packed down with 4 bags of groceries? That will work.
Packed down with a rear axle from a 74 Impala? That will work.
Packed down for a weekend camping trip? That will work. ☺

This picture of my motorcycle was taken last summer on my trip out west.

Oooohh. LOTS of "stuff" I have carried over the years, but no pictures.

Some memorable items:
- 9 sheets of 4x8x3/8 plywood on top of the trailer
- 350 Chevy engine block in the trailer
- a roll of fence wire on top of the trailer

Anything in recent history (since 2000 or so) has been considerably more modest, mainly because I have had another vehicle that could carry that kind of stuff. My only other vehicle when I was carrying that stuff was a Corolla, and the stuff just would not fit.

I guess I could roll out the three bikes that are going on our "little ride" and do a test fit for the extra luggage. :-k

From almost five years ago....I hadn't seen my cousin in ten years...he got me into motorcycles when I was a kid...Used to ride on the tank of his bike.
We did a tour through BC and into Banff Alberta...awesome way to reconnect.
My 80 gs750e and 83 gs1100e...bikes performed flawlessly of course. :)

......, ................................ ...........your motorcycle packed down for a big trip/or just packed down.............
Such has occurred in the past (before had full set of side cases and trunk). But did not consider it an interesting photo scene, so likely not have an entry ...... or maybe I can think of alternate definition of "packed' or "loaded".......

From the NE GSR rally a few years ago.

Um, Trevor, did you by chance forget to throw a bucket of water on your camp fire that morning?

OK, I didn't see any objections, so here is my STAGED photo. Nothing is packed yet, but we have started making sure that everything we have will actually work. 21 1/2 weeks and counting. :encouragement:
