Pic of the week game

As far as shadows Burque73 gets my vote for having most of the frame filled with shadow. Definitely a large one.

Voting for Redman. I like how the shadow starts long then shortens as it hits the bank. Nice late afternoon (or early morning) sun on the nose of the bike too.

i also liked the stark winter lighting on Lurch’s. It even looks cold.

Saturday Tally

I was thinking that Sandy's was the best over all picture, quite a majestic scene and pose.
But for the subject/theme, I was thinking of 3 other shots also. Wasnt going to be too picky about Roger Burques pic seemed to be shot by his passenger.
Then got involved in stuff and didnt get back to vote.

Lurch 1, Redman 2, Roger Burque 4

Roger, What you have of us this coming week...?

A late vote for Redman, not just for the stand up shadow, but the way the nose of the bike fairing balances the whole thing.

However, Burque73 still wins, with or without my vote.

Thanks for the votes guys. I'm glad you liked the shadow pic my wife took. She usually hesitates to hold anything in her hand while on the bike in case she drops it. At that moment she felt confident enough to snap some pics.

I'll have another one up here shortly for us.

I got this one! Excellent subject Roger. However I think Sandy might be out of this one. Haha, just kidding I'm sure he has something up his sleeve. ☺

A few years ago on Main St, Mount Horeb, WI.

Front to back:
Joe Nardy's amazing '83 GS1100E - (Since sold - To a forum member I do believe)
My '83 GS1100E which I still have
Our friend Dom's 1000E - (Since sold)
And Greg's, (GBW on this forum), '77 or '78 GS750E - (Since sold)

It was a fun day trip!

Ha Ha to you too. I don't have time to go shoot something new so here is one from a few years ago. Neighbouring ski town of Fernie, BC. Sorry, it's just a crappy old cell phone photo. LOL.

That looks pretty good to me Sandy, but then again all of my photos are crappy cell phone shots.

........... instructions are confusing, with or without the bike?
.

Subject/theme for the week was stated to be (without restating all the rules/instructions) "downtown" .
General instructions for the entire game (first post) may not exactly say, but does imply that photo should include the bike, and discussions early on did confirm that photo should include bike (and be your bike, and you took picture). Other general rule/instruction is to submit only one picture.
And we havent gotten too fussy about if you actaully took the picture, maybe your passenger did, as long as you were involved.

Now last week was "bike casting shadow", and was stated that bike itself not need be in frame of picture, but did need to be a bike's shadow.

Short answer: Yes, photo needs to have bike, your bike, your picture of your bike (or the bike was your bike in your picture).
