A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

I really like Gustovs pic for a great overall motorcycle picture, great in many ways, such crisp clear sillouttes.

Kerry kerfunk got my interest. And other good ones, Norm included.
I like mine for its simplisity and lack of distraction/cluttter, but, yah, it needs more color.

But for a picture with the sunset being the prime subject, I'll go for Roger Burques, with the bright colors all across the horizion.

It's time for one of you guys who couldn't decide which one to vote for to flip a coin and hopefully break the tie.

I'll pick tails if that helps. Next vote to come in for Gustovh's or mine will be the tie breaker.

Have you ever broke down on a trip? That is what this one is about, field repairs.

Well Vince, funny you should pic this topic....this was my bike on the side of the road at one of Vince's pnw ralley's about 5 years ago...the problem? Why a bad stator of course...lol....big thanks to Vince who had a stator from a gs550 that did the trick! :)

Vince doing his thing...

Here's the field repair (and yes, that's a bicycle pump). My GS is background left, and HERE is the Goldwing's tire. If I recall correctly, he was going flat, so we were pumping it up by hand every few miles, and then he had a blowout. I don't remember what we did then, lol.

Well I guess I'm out for this week. I don't have pictures like that. LOL.

Field Repairs......

Flat Tire, 15 miles from home. No pics.

Bentup handle bars, 50 miles from home, No pics.

Fuse Block Meltdown, 250 miles from home. No pics.

Burnt stator, 200 miles from home, south side of Indinapolus. Have pics on side of road, covers off, tools and meter out. Have pics of Brian and Brett rescuing me, but actaull fix was in Brians garage shop, so not really a field repair, sp pic doesnt really qualify since didnt repair on side of road. (so, then, also not too concerened that is a photo collage) (So this is not really a submission, just telling the story, with pictures.)

How?s about that shift linkage? :D

Come on guys, does not have to be your bike, just your picture.

V

My understanding of the general requirement differ from that.
Has to be your bike (or was your bike), .... but doesnt have to be your picture (this was decided becasue some had picture of them taken by thier passenger).
That is what has been discussed/decided early on.

I have a few pictures of others doing parking lot repairs at various Brown County rallys. (and a couple such pictures I really like... hey, I could send them the pictures for them to enter har har har)
