A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

I swapped my pic submission for this week to one I liked better. Actually it was used in a tag game, but it's better than most of my other quick point and shoot type pics.

Here it is just for reference.

Ok no more swapping and editing for me...this week. lol

Oh yes...now that you brought it up...I remember...when he accused me here of trying to push a car further into the ditch. Is that it?

Don't think that's it. Charlie's probably referencing Rich's not so appropriate comments about crappy cell phone pictures.

Sandy this was the gas stop before Charlie became the mad biker from Hades. On our way to my place, the first rally.

Here is my photo for Pic-of-the-week. This is in Suffield Ohio, a suburb of Akron. This photo was taken on one of my favorite after work rides with a nice restaurant just down the road.

Wow Norm. Those wire wheels look great. I either forgot or missed that you did the conversion. You definitely had me doing a double take.

Thank you for noticing Sandy. Your 1000e motorcycle was my inspiration. I have about $1,300 wrapped up in them. I think it was well worth it. ☺

You've got it right again Sandy.

Really sorry about not remembering that YOU took that picture ! It's my favorite pictures from all the rallies we went to. Well maybe the photo of the WSP checking out Vince's tire tread is a very close second......

Hey I'm not the one doing.... passing the WSP sleeper car and getting the lights turned on.

I was bored, what else can I say? Now back to our regular scheduled programming.

I found a better picture, can I resubmit?

V
Yah, up to Thursday midnight pacific, maybe best to edit your original post to have the new pic.
or ..... in your original post revise it to say have deleted original pic, then make new post with new pic.

Found an interesting picture (for us motorcyclist) that has a sign as a major element of the scene.

Brown County this year, went off on my own for an afternoon, and while following my front fender I found this place .

^^my submission (will delete previous).

and this is what I found just past that bend on the right.........

I wondered if that was some descendant of ol' man Boone there on the tractor raking the hay.
(Indian Creek Road)

Speaking of signs, this sign on IN-58 was a large factor in me finding the above scenes.

Was also some other interesting finds, including an old iron bridge, and lots of narrow curvy road that followed the lay-of-the-land.

Friday. Vote Day.
Let me summarize the entries.

.............. The theme for the first week of December: Here's Your Sign. Your bike with a roadsign. Could be a traffic sign, could even be something like "Welcome to Illinois" or "Welcome to Chicago" or "Welcome to the Grand Teton National Forest".

And then lots of discussion and lots of other entries.
Here are the other entries, without the discussion.................

more..........

Thanks for the recap, Dave.
My vote is for Sandy and the Ellery Lake picture.
Real crisp picture, broad subject, and it tells a story in location (mountains, lake, elevation) and how the (very clean looking!)bike is packed.
