DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Is Rocky Top the town formerly known as Lake City or Lakeland? Pretty close to he Devils Triangle

Not sure about the old name, but yes, 441 from my house, over the dam to Rocky Top, cross I-75 and you are at 116 about 10 miles from the triangle.
Maybe 40 miles from my house.

Now that Brushy prison is open for tours, and sells lunch, it will likely be on my list for next year.

As noted in my location, I'm not particularly fond of the town I live in..... there's also a bit of "love to hate it" going on as well...
Tony's Diner, however is one of my favorite things about town. Old school, and still has working neon, and is mostly original inside as well.
Time isn't on my side this week. They are only open late (ish) Wednesday thru Saturday. I got stuck on a late call at work this evening, and it's supposed to rain like crazy tomorrow, so likely no neon joy....

Lit up, but no bike...

Hi Guys

Not meaning to gate crash this thread at all, but I really enjoy seeing the photos of objects and places in your country, so I thought I would share a photo I took today near the area I live. My apologies that it is not the best quality photo (just quickly snapped with my cellphone while on a last-minute Xmas shopping run).

This is the iconic "Table Mountain" and "Lions Head" that towers above the city of Cape Town, about 80 km from my home town of Wellington. The sandy foreground area is about 10 km from the coastline of Table Bay, and is being prepared for new commercial buildings.

Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a wonderful, safe 2019 to you all.

Kind regards from South Africa

Welcome to the game, 2BR.....

Thank you, but I just dropped in to share that photo, which is actually the first photo I have of my bike and Table Mountain, although I have lived in the area forever!

This was not an "official" entry into your game, because I know that I will not be able to contribute on a weekly basis due to work pressure. I just enjoy seeing everyone's photo's!

I think that is a picture very worthy of entry. I will let the other players have there say, but I think you are entered, sorry. LOL...;)

Don't worry, if you win, all you have to do is pick the new theme. If you can't do that, the runner up will assume the duty.

With a photo like that, You are entered, and I would say, in the running - har har.
Weekly participation is not at all required.

In the not unlikely event you will need to; Could use same pic to name the next subject-theme, say, ah, "Clouds" or "Something in the distance" or "riding in open area"....

Welcome 2BRacing. There's no backing out now. And we all love to see pics from all over the world. We don't get much of a chance to see pics of South Africa. Honestly, If you hadn't mentioned where this is, I would have assumed it was Arizona or New Mexico, USA.

FRiday, Vote Day.

Let me gather up the submissions.

First the statement of the theme-category-subject (along with submission)

................................................ How about something fairly close to home that shows a bit of the personality of where you live. ......................................... has to tell a little bit of your area. .

Some good pics again.
Man, I like this game.

Some pics are "close to home", cant get much closer than driveway or garage.
Some pics (like mine) show something unique about the area.
And then are 5 pics that show something of what the area is like, makes you think the entire area is like that, and are great pics. If were to look at these pics, without any introduction of the category-theme, I would say these pics show what the area is like, if I were to ride anywhere around the area this is what I would likely see. I keep coming back to Sandy, DaveR, CharlieG, Rich82 and Ben 2BRacing.
For voting I will choose DaveR with Ben 2BRacing a close 2nd.

I vote Sandy this week, the depth and detail in that pic is amazing.

Even without the neon lights I think Dorkburger's is a really cool shot. That's my vote.

I am digging on Roger Burque73's Lotaburger picture as something that tells about his area. My vote.
