  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server.     If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

For me it's a toss up between Spyder, Redman and Steve Murdoch.

I live on part of Route 66 and really enjoy the history of it, though it's hayday was before my time.

The trucks and CBX in Steve's pic just look really cool, but again more historic to me than nostalgic.

I just love these old GS bikes and I feel nostalgic looking at the ones in Redman's pic. My first GS, a then 10 year old 850G didnt have all the luggage my current bike does so seeing them naked brings back the good old days (1991 ish).

So, Redman for me.
 
It's not always the photo but story behind it and what it means to the person behind the camera. Gotta go with Gustov.

Thanks Gents, i truly mean it when i say it is an honour to win one of these votes.

6" of snow and ice currently on the ground so no new bike pics for a LONG while so for this week i am going to borrow from another ongoing thread on the site.
How about "Influencing the Grandkids".
Doesn't have to be a grandkid, but a photo of your bike with a young person. Could be a son, daughter, neighbour's kid or maybe some young person that admired your bike at a coffee shop. I think we can be fairly lax as to what age "young" would be...14ish?

This one is from last summer with my grand-nephew. Yes the engine had cooled off and no that was not my riding helmet he was about to drop.

The young fellow is my Grandson Justin who turns 18 next week. He enlisted in the National Guard last night. We are sitting (NOT Riding) on my old 1980 GS850G.
 
Anybody with an older bike should definitely know how to work on it. And starting YOUNG is when they learn the best. :-k

Who knows, maybe next week the theme will be bikes and pets.
 
Our neighbor's daughters love coming over to say hi. Whether it's doing a craft project with my wife, walking our dog or playing with my grandson they are always eager to come visit. Oh, especially when it's time for their school fundraisers throughout the year LOL. We are the first stop they make. Their parents said it was fine that they participate in this game too.

One fairly new-to-me bike,
my six-yo daughter "driving," her friend on post, and her doggo strapped to the grab bar.
