DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

This is a photo from the Katana 35 celebrations in Australia, held at the Albury weir

on March 2016. We had 54 Katana's present, was a great weekend.

That is my (then) 83 1100E under there. Back on my 10,000 mile swing through the Pacific Northwest and the Great Plains back in 2012 I happened to roll into Butte, Montana the weekend of Evil Knievel Days (it's his hometown). Whilst checking out the event I stopped into a pub for a bite. I was watching TV from my bar stool when an emergency weather alert flashed across the screen. A nearby town was being hit with a severe storm with strong winds and golfball and larger size hail. It's path and speed would put it into Butte in approximately 30 minutes. It occurred to me that my Quality Inn motel had no covered parking and the layout wasn't such that I could roll the bike into the room. I could visualize the dents in my tank and fenders.

I double timed out to the bike and made a mad dash to a Target store a couple of blocks from the motel and sort of rudely pushed ahead other customers to buy my tarp and extra bungies. Back at the motel I frantically got the tarp and padding secured in place just as the first sprinkles of rain started hitting me in the face.

The kicker was that sprinkles of rain were all that ever came down. That storm either changed direction or fizzled out. All that panic prep was for naught but I did not care. I was downright happy that my wrapping skills did not get tested.

UNDERACHIEVER... This motorcycle does nothing good. It's slow, it handles like a brick.... I tried to like it, but it is just not for me. I acquired the 97 Harley Road King a year ago, after my stepfather died. It had been sitting for a few years and needed a little work to get running. No one in the family wanted to deal with it (including me). However, I thought if I can get it running I could make a few dollars on it. I'm going to sell it this Spring.

Since I was already "under" the bike changing the oil, I started looking for some interesting graphic compositions. This is what I came up with.

"Under"

I'm grasping at straws here.

Here's my riding buddies from a few years ago. The Goldwing's tire was not holding air well. The guy on the left is actually holding a bicycle pump while the guy under the bike is holding the nozzle in place.

Peter, although we'll vote on pictures that we each think best fits this week's theme, I am curious as to how you feel this meets it? What part of this is the "UNDER" part of the theme?

Peter. Is your pic an entry in this week’s game? Theme is “under”. I know you're from down “under”. :p Rules for the game are posted in first post of this thread. You can post a pic directly in the thread by copying the bbcode from Flickr and pasting it right in your post. That way the pic shows up in the thread for all to see, no clicking to view involved.

LOL, my appologies, I am still working things out as a newbie, I clearly missed the intent, mostly practising how to post images to the site.
Considering the elevation in that image, we were more over than under!

Happy Friday....Boy we got a lot of entries this week!

First the theme by Dave, (Redman)
"Under"

I am thinking of any pic that if were to show a number of people the picture and ask them to describe it, most of them would use the word "under" fairly early on in their description. Like 'bike under blah blah' or 'yaddi yaddi under bike'.

More to follow....

Interesting....I vote for the best photograph, as long as it meets the theme somehow....

And it's going to take me a little time to decide on this one...:D
