DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

If I have a vote, I cast it for Eli69, it?s the view of the shot that I like most, it has an artistic appeal.
While I do agree with Don, I must admit that I?m guilty of removing my baffle sometimes too.
Yes you do have a vote, but 1) voting is on Fridays and 2) in the event of a tie (as this time) the vote is broken by the first tie-breaking vote. Which was cast about fifteen minutes before your vote.

hummm, a town called Norman? How far is that from Normal ? hee hee
231 miles from Norman, IN to Normal, IL.

And my first and last name are pretty hard to find, but my middle name is William, and there are two Bill's in this mural...

I'm glad the tie finally got broken. I was thinking about a way to sort this if it ever comes to a stalemate.

How about if no tie breaking vote comes in by whatever is deemed a reasonable time, whichever pic was posted first during the week takes the win? Of course, we've had ties before and they always get broken eventually...

Anyway, just a thought. Now to upload a pic I grabbed earlier today.

No Ride today. (sleet most all morning).
Is a David street a couple blocks away, but nothing interesting there.

Did see this on my Ride-RT-Home this past summer.
Stopped and took this pic real quick, rather documentary snapshot, just to send to my brothers.

Have lived around Michigan in about 10 places since I was 4 years old, and never heard of another Varner here untill I was about 40 years old, and then none after that.
Although, when I was a kid and we went to visit my Dads family in Johnstown PA area, it was quite a thing to look in phonebook and see almost two pages of them.

A while back a good friend of mine made me the sign in the picture, we finally got a castle.

I have at least got the theme covered this week--first AND last name.

The address of the restaurant is painted underneath.

Friday. Vote Day.

First the statement of the theme-subject by Mr Marvinsc:

Theme for this week is "Same Name". We all do it, look for Streets, Roads or places containing our name or something similar. . . . . .

And the entries, about 8 of them.

.............. but my middle name is William, and there are two Bill's in this mural...

Okay.
There we are.
(let me know if I missed one)

Later Note>>
I can attest that everyone has referenced their first or last (or middle) name, or a significant portion of their username.

Baatfam Bob gets my vote this week.
The thought of a drive-through liquor store in my area would make people's head explode.
Heck, if you are on a bicycle they won't even sell you a coffee at the drive-throughs.

Excellent....
Once again, picking the best photo is difficult.

What I like in photos is balance, colors, and shapes....
Gustov and Norm caught my attention....
Kerrfunk's has all the pieces I like....It would make a neat panorama if a bunch of the parking lot was cropped out.
Baatfam's is nice, but clearly photoshopped:o

But my vote goes to Burque73 (Roger)

Great colors, and fun shapes.
Nice balance/angle between the bike and the word.
Bike is pointed into the picture, not out.
Sharp.

Roger, I would suggest you crop out that distracting stuff on the right, though...
What is that? An amusement park? :highly_amused:

..
I dont see that.
But did wonder why need to take off jacket and helmet in Knoxville TN in February to stand in parking lot a minute to get that picture. I figured, maybe, because went inside for some time. ha ha.
