A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

I dont see that.
But did wonder why need to take off jacket and helmet in Knoxville TN in February to stand in parking lot a minute to get that picture. I figured, maybe, because went inside for some time. ha ha.
Could be an old photo....that is the BMW R1100S I sold several years ago...:)

Vote for Norm Storm.
Often a helmet on the seat is a distraction, but in this case it directed attention to the main point of the pic, well, that is, if you knew the picture was Norm's picture.

Kerry, Thanks for the specific information when I asked how far Norman is from Normal.
I somewhat knew it wasn't close.

Roger, I would suggest you crop out that distracting stuff on the right, though...
What is that? An amusement park? :highly_amused:

Haha, no that's a bus stop. It is rather amusing that the previous mayor thought this new rapid transit system was a good idea. What a boondoggle that was.

We call it the ART project. Albuquerque Rapid Transit is a new bus line that runs straight up the center of Central Ave. or Route 66.

Agreed, the helmet on Norm's seat does lead your eye right to his name.

Voting for Stormin' Norman

I'm in for burque. Great colors. I kind of agree about the cropping (said the guy who also needs to crop his picture)

I narrowed it down to Roger's vivid colors vs. Norm's spot on framing. The tie breaker was appropriateness to theme and actual vs. screen name. So the vote goes to Storm 64.
...

Come on fellas, if you haven't voted yet it's not to late. Remember every vote counts. Come on Vortex people, come on over and vote. GS Discussion folks, come on down and vote. Forum lurkers, you're welcome too...

I vote for Cowboy Up!

Good Morning GSR! Let's count votes....

I have one vote each for Gustovh, Cowboyup3371, and Baatfam

Three votes for Storm 64

And with 8 votes, the winner is Burque73! Congrats Roger!

If someone wants to confirm, please do....:D

Confirmed, Burque gets the win with 8 votes... Congratulations Roger. What do you have for us this week?

Well, thank you. That mural was brand new to the city and hadn't faded yet from the brutal New Mexico sun. I sure got some funny looks from passers by as folks walked to the small shops and brew pubs on Route 66 in the heart of town.

The things we do for a good photo...

No riding today, let me find something on file.

Here is my entry, 2 x GS1000's. My white one and a friends. Both ever so slightly not standard.......

The best I could come up with...a few years ago at my buddy's Vintage in the Valley show when Wes stayed with me...he was the guest of honour. My bike in Front with Kiwi Canucks and another friend"s Cooley. You won't see that everyday. Lol...:)
