• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Gotta go with Trevor this week because of the Subject matter. GS Suzukis and Stator issues are like peas in a pod.. I have been there and Done that which led to an epic ride trough a rip roaring Thunder storm from Cincinnati to Indy where Brian Wringer installed a Stator to get me home to West Kentucky.

Voting for mr Rich82GS750TZ cuz that's a solid 5 gore points. Some might even give it 6 or 7 for the bloodyness. Mr. Burque73 was close cuz I did exactly the same thing with the ugly once. I saw a gravel pit that looked fun but turned out to be a sand pit.

I really feel for dpep. I've seen it before, but it's gut-wrenching every time. Same w/ Grimly's

but voting for Eli69, Because the 12 yr. old me on my '72 Yamaha DT 250 would have definitely swam in that swamp, and then gone back to do it again.

(not my pic, but I had same color)

Gustov's simple repair that turned out to be a total pain in the donkey.
I've never had a tube split all the way round like that.

It did put the breaks on for that days ride. The good thing is the tire held enough air to get me to Leavenworth where it went flat overnight. We replaced the stem with a tubeless one and now I don't use a tube anymore.

oh oh..... i am supposed to be hosting Thanksgiving dinner....gonna need another plan.:)

I vote for Steve Murdoch. No need to make room for Thanksgiving dinner. I feast my eyes on this collection of motorcycles, that is thanks giving enough...

Many pics I said "Oh Oh...".
Some I said "Eessschhhh....that aint good...."
Mehall, I said "huh what, bicycle sticking out back of a Beemer RT....."
Rich, I said "Oh Oh...Owwww. But good thing the glove came off."

Jedz great use of depth of field (some call selective focus).

Deciding between Richs stark pic and baatfam great pose and composition, On baatfam pic I noticed the great scene and thought the sign was a distraction, the only distraction in the well posed scene bike-road curve-foliage , then realized that, no, the sign is intended as part of the scene (oh, Oh... oh.....).

Voting for Bob baatfam. The photo is documentary and great composition and tells something of a story for us motorcyclist.

Saturday Morning (I checked)

Vote Tally

With 1 each: trevor, grimly, eli, gustov, SteveMurdock.
With 2 each: redman, baatfam
With 4 votes: Rich82

Someone can confirm. But looks like Rich82 has the high honor of naming the next theme.

Wonder if we ever had so many getting a single vote.
Wonder if we ever had 8 of the 15 submissions getting votes.
(maybe indicative of a poorly suited theme for a photo contest. Most entries were documentary.)
(but maybe okay for a fun game to entertain us on a motorcycle forum)
