Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

OK....Not really coming up with anything. Feeling a little lost. Yes lost.

This week's theme is "Lost"

Dave, I find it odd that Steve would be asking for rather than giving directions. If that is indeed what's going on there.

I actually did get lost here on the Alamo reservation. This is where I realized my battery had been cooked by the stator and the reg/rec was toast. I had a weak cell signal and low battery but found my location and got my wife to, eventually, come find me with a trailer.

Hey Trev, Let me request you to name the folks there (and bikes too).
And maybe tell us how the opportunity for that photo came about.
Maybe I like that photo because I have requested such at a somewhat similar gathering,
and the response was less than positive (I am being polite here.).

Hey, Bob, Let me request you to name the bikes there.
I have no idea about the blue-silver E, other than Mr Glen Dorkburger mentioned "Willie" (and I recall a Willie from TN, I think, had a GK at one time).
THen there is your nice red E.
And, Let me quess.... the silver painted one is that Chicago guy Dom.
And I suspect the black one would have been Greg gbw bike (750 '78?).
..... and so each of those last two puts the time frame about 2008-2010 or so.

I am third from the right, Sandy fourth, BigT sixth and on the end on the right ST John. The picture was taken the first year the PNW rally was held in John Day. That is the best that my old mind can do. I was riding my 83 1100G, Sandy was on a Jamaha that year I believe and BigT was on his 79 1000.

Nothing for me this week, I’m a Pathfinder and have never been lost on my bike.

Doesn't have to be you, gustovh. Never lost your keys? Never helped anyone else who was lost? Been to a "lost" paradise?
The themes are just a suggestion. It's the photo that matters.

When my life flashes before my eyes, and I'm heading to the light... I'm not sure of the order of these things.... I just want to know where the damn parts I dropped in my garage went to! Also it would be cool to finally know the resting place of several wallets and sets of keys. Just so I can nap easy.

I realize that, I just don?t have any pictures of being lost in any way.

NOT an ENTRY. This is my original lost pic. I was in Nowhere Tennessee where the Mississippi makes that loop called the New Madrid Bend. I rode to the end of a farm field road and walked another couple hundred yards to the top of a Levee and took this shot of my old 1980 850G 10 or 12 years ago.

(No wallets were seriously damaged to take this picture. But they definitely didn't get any fatter.)

Google found 5 or 6 businesses near me with "Lost" in the name...

The Lost Tavern, Lost and Found Records, Lost Treasures, The Lost Sea Adventure, etc.

Unfortunately, it appears we are going to have rain all week...

Quick bump....

Today is the last day to upload an entry.

Come play with us....:D

I wasn't truly lost. I knew generally where I was, but my Waze app evidently has a very loose interpretation of what is a "road" and what is a goat path. It was all downhill and too steep for me to safely turn around. It got much worse until I got to a proper groomed forest road. Definitely the hairiest surface I've traversed on this bike. I don't want to do it again.
