• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

A lot of cool far-out pictures man😎... I vote for Steve Murdock and his CBX! It could've been a close up picture of the engine and I'd think it would be far-out... 😉

I'm going with Gustovh and his lonely road photo. Where is he going? Looks like he doesn't know and doesn't care ......perfect.

Happy Saturday Morning and Welcome to the Weekend, GSR!
Let's tally some votes...

With one vote each, dpep, kerrfunk, and Burue73
With two votes each, Steve Murdoch and trevor

And with 6 votes, gustovh, far ahead riding to victory!

(I am pretty confident in the winner, but confirmation would be nice)

Just got back from the doc, yikes again…let me look, but the subject will be “ stumps”. After the last flood to hit town, the high and middle schools were torn down and the large fir trees that were in front and on main street were cut as well. Very tall stumps at that. Well a local artist turned those stumps from eyesore to art. This is the first on that he did.

Not a picture with stump(s) as the purpose of the photo, but has stumps fairly prominent in the background.
Not a picture I took (is Killboyz)
Not my bike (well, my rental that day).
Is me. Dragon. April 2013.

All I got.

By the way, April weekday was good time to ride the Dragon.
Traffic so low that the photogs along the way had to get up out of chair and grab camera when saw me coming.

this week's subject will be ? stumps?
The only story I have about this little guy is that when I first arrived in my office at my third church, this guy was in it.
Couple of pranksters in the congregation had found it somewhere and couldn't pass it up.
I left it in front of the garage. (the church house was 50 yards behind the church)

I don't remember the source of that puddle, but it was certainly older than the photo op.
I'm pretty sure it was human error, like from messing around with a lawnmower or spilling something during an oil change, something like that.
It wasn't an engine leak, I know that.

Actually, take a close look and you can see a smiley face in the puddle from one attempt to clean up the stain.

I probably photoshopped that spot out of more than one picture, lol.

And a Happy Friday Morning, GSR! Let's review and vote...
First the theme of the week by gustovh:
? stumps?

And there they are...Please enjoy, and don't forget to vote.

As always, if anything is amiss, please let us know.
