A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

I vote for Marvince. Because, well just read Rich's post... 

The Podunk in my pic does not exist on a Graves County Kentucky map, you will see Fairbanks which is the given name but the locals have called it Podunk for so long they convinced the Road Dept. to put up an official sign at each end of "Town" which are less than a half mile apart..........LOL

While Podunk is a good place for Social distancing, I think Bob's sign captures the currant Socio-political climate very well. BATFAM for me this week.

Surprisingly I guess i'm doing this today.

With one vote each, Rich and Jedz
Two votes go to Dorkburger and Redman
Marvin picked up 3 votes
And with 5 votes and a Ditto from Rob (???) - Baatfam looks to be the winner

If someone could please verify but Bob, what's next

Verified! Thanks Scott for doing the count! And thanks everyone for the votes.

Theme will be up before noon, eastern time. :)

Not riding til the salt gets washed off the roads, so gotta use one from the archives. Not that I'd find anything in bloom now, anyway.:p

July 2018 (my first summer of retirement)
Not too far off one on favorite afternoon rides, a gravel road that goes downhill and curves out of sight, and I knew went toeward river and a marschy area. Previously I had always just past on bye. So, since I had the time, I went that way, and found, at a creek and a bridge, these wild flowers growing way up to level of the bridge.
At first they seemed like the lilleys I have been familiar with.

THey looked alot like the lilley in our backyard and at various places along road. But after a while I noticed the flower head is different in that it hangs down instead of pointing up. And had more prominent spots. . Made me wonder what must be different in the seed or whatever to determine that difference, or if I took some from my backyard and planted them here in a marsch would they grow different. Pondered a while, and I suppose that would be a deep study of botany and DNA and genitics and such. Was quite a memerable experience, maybe because was such a different expereince going for ride on a day of retirment (verses weekend or day off when working).
Continued along on my ride. Never really did look into it too much further, other than did find what these are called something like Wild Marsch Tiger Lilley (but I suspect not properly recalling now).

FOr general reference, these are what I am more accustome to

First pic is my entry, maybe not the more apealing pic, but for me it is because of what I recall of the expereince (which I know is not contained nor conveyed in the pic).

Redman, I am thinking your last pic should be your entry. Flowers/motorcycle/open road. Doesn't get much better than that.
