• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Here is a funky kind of picture with a lot of different lights going on.
First the light of fireworks. Then the car lights pointing at my motorcycle, and some orange vehicle lights in the
background.

Exactly Mr.Phillips. All three are winners.
My vote for Redman, who can bask in a week of glory while Burque and Norm can savour a week of knowing the forum judged their pics equal to the best without the weighty responsibility of conceiving a new theme. :)

Oh, I forgot to congratulate Redman for the win this week!
Also thanks Dave R for breaking the tie relieving me from picking a new topic. :)

Answers the question, "What would Jesus ride?"
Resident theologian here:
Jesus would ride a 1981 Suzuki GS 1000 GL

In Suzuki code, 1981 bikes have the designation "X", which of course is the first letter in the Greek spelling of Christ (hence x-mas)
"GS" of course means "God's Son"
1000 is a trinity of a perfect number: ten times ten times ten
and "GL" means "God's Love"

The golden light at the end of a prairie day. My 81 Silverwing, the most comfortable, practical and dependable, if not flashy, bike i have owned.

. . . . . "What would Jesus ride?"

Not ceratin about Jesus himself, well, other than an occassion of riding a donkey.
But, the disciples, Somewhere in the New Testament, one of the Gospels, it says the disciples rode in a Honda.
Yah, it says they were in one Accord.

I just have trouble picturing Him riding a shaft. Unless, of course it was a V-Max. :surprise:

Many people were surprised by the manifestation of the Christ 2,000 years ago. I have no doubt He'd challenge our expectations.
