A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

well... you can't see the picnic table in the photo because i'm sitting on it :) i've been coming to this park for probably 15 years, this is my first trip there on a motorcycle. i snagged this nice table under this big tree, this spot is always taken when I go there due to the nice shade and being next to the pond, but this day i lucked out.

week 1 of riding is in the books
day 1, 3 miles
day 2, 4 miles
day 4, 7 miles
day 4, 20 miles
day 5, 50 miles

at this rate i'm gonna be half way around the world in a couple of weeks

Lunch Break yesterday. I don't eat lunch but had to run to the bank. It was an interesting day, strong Canadian winds, it was 37' in this pic but the time I got home by 6PM it had dropped to 29' F, just a sunny but very brisk and windy. 100 miles and coming up to the first 1000 miles of the 2025 season!

Well, I guess Baatfam slept in today. It's his birthday. Happy Birthday Bob.
It's tough trying to come up with new, fun themes for the game. I thought this one would have more participation. Thanks for those that played this week. Here's what we have for Solo Picnic Lunch.

Let me know if I missed any. Chrome isn't showing me all the pics. Firefox seems to be working better..

Mr. Steve Murdock gets my vote this week!

"It's tough trying to come up with new, fun themes"
I don't think so. I have plenty of new fun themes that I can come up with...

Thanks Rich, for doing the summation and the happy birthday.

Really got busy and forgot.
Got up before 6am, watched the first two practice sessions of the formula 1 race in Japan. Recorded last night.
Took some scrap metal and trash to the dump, got the new car washed, took my sports car and washed it. Just sat down 30 minutes ago.

Good birthday so far...;) It'll get better, Cubs game at 2:20 pm.

Voting for Norm (storm 64)

Like it or not, I'm voting for Bren. and his invisible picnic table. I never remember having the opportunity before... Welcome Bren.

Deffo Storm for me, this week.
Done that on a car manifold and of historical interest, the late Captain Maurice Seddon used to do it with his old BSA when he was despatching in London during the 60s and 70s.
He had a boiling pot arrangement on the tailpipe of his bike(s). A morning's work would have his stew ready to eat for lunch.

I'd say it's Storm by a nose, but it's looking like Storm by a good margin!

One more vote for Storm!!

i've only recently become eligible for this thread as i've only been able to actually ride for the past 2 weeks, so that's why

Good morning GSRESOURCE.COM! It's Saturday morning let's tally up the votes!
There were 9 entries and 11 votes this week.

New comer to the game, and a big welcome, Bren from Texas picked up two vote.
Also
Mr. Steve Murdock with his big beautiful dish of ice cream received two votes.

This one surprised me...

The winner receiving eight votes Storm 64

A little about the picture.
I remember reading in a old Popular Mechanic's magazine and later in a Autoweek magazine about using your engine as a oven. So I thought let's give it a try.

I cut up a leftover steak from the night before. Added some peppers and onion and a little water topped it off with some cheese. Wrapped it all up in tin foil.
Right behind the exhaust down tubes is a nice open area that would cradle the foil wraped dish.
I wasn't sure about the temperature and cooking time. I'd ride for 20 minutes then check it... All together it took about 45 minutes.
And here is how it turned out
