Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

One year ago ( April 8th) everyone was going crazy about the eclipse! Well not everyone but I was! I took the day off work and everything.

That was a fun week for me not only because it was the first eclipse I actually saw, but 3 days earlier I felt my first earthquake. :victorious:

A day late, Rob but it is mostly a 1966 CB160 and it's a blast to ride.
Maybe only15 hp but being small and light you get to twist the throttle everywhere.

Honda's U.S. sales were exploding in '66! My father was considering one instead of a second car. Many attributed it to their ad campaign:

"You meet the nicest people on a Honda."

About 20 years ago, someone I hadn't seen in a while asked, "What happened to your hair? And where's the motorcycle?"

"You lose one," I told him, "and then you lose the other."

We're all time travelers. :onthego:

Thanks everyone for the votes. I'm doing consultant work and setting up a commercial kitchen in a local Inn that celebrates it's 200th year in business. It was taken Saturday and I ended up working 10 hours there. Anyway, I apologize for not voting but it would have benn Moot becasue I would have voted for Baatfam !

Hit my first 1000 miles for the season over the weekend. Back to riding everyday!

A year ago we were cleaning out our garage to host my oldest son's graduation party. My 1980 GS850GL had been quietly resting in the front of the garage for about 7 years. The wife was on a terror to get rid of things... including the motorcycle. We pushed it to the back yard for the party and I posted the photo below on Facebook Marketplace to sell the jack and wheel stand on May 11, 2024. I did sell the jack and stand... But I just couldn't let go of the bike. Later that month I started combing through this forum and ordering parts.

My GS is not in the photo.. but if you look closely at the left side of the top, there is an electric dirt bike I bought for my younger son. So I'll say it qualifies.

Thanks Dave. I know Bob's tied up w/ some home renovations, I was going to do the recap just now, then saw you did it.

voting for Jedz123

Voting for Bob, Baatfam this week. Always remembering, and wishing folks could have ridden the rural Hwy.129 and "Deals Gap", before it was ruined by the "Tail of the dragon" hype... Gosh it was great and peaceful back then... As usual, just my opinion.

I'll vote for storm 64 - That was the first total solar eclipse I've witnessed and thought it was quite amazing.
